A poster on my other board (non-TF related) writes these great lil' neighborhood-themed poems, and his user name is Ramjet. I sent him a link to Sky-byte's Wikia article, and he loves it, but wants to know if I can find some examples.

    Any help?

Had no idea there were transcripts there. It'll take some digging, but that's perfect. Thanks.

And who's this Tony guy anyways? Why would someone put so much effort into a site about RID? That's just crazy.

Well, in the original version, Sky-byte recites Haiku. Haiku are a form of japanese poetry using three lines with a set number of syllables. Like this

    First line has five beats
    The second line has seven
    Finish off with five.

So thats 5/7/5 syllables. So you end up with him saying something along the lines of (and this is just one I made up)

    The Autobot Scum
    Contaminates My Optics
    Their Death Wipes It Clean

As for the American version, the haiku didn't translate all that well, and doesn't have the same cultural significance (haiku and other art forms can be associated with the ancient samurai class, but that's a whole other discussion), so they changed it to little songs and musings.

(a few specifics may be off, but this was one that stuck in my memory)

    My enemies around me,
they surround me and confound me,
but with one astounding bound I shall escape.
    Byee!!

Tony's creation has grown so large, they've forgotten the creator.

    Not all of us. :)

I didn't know about Sky-byte reciting Haiku. I found the songs to be quite amusing, but Haikus would have been awesome too.

Thanks to both of y'all--I was going through the RID transcripts, but that'll work fine for me.
    Yes. Yes, I am.

    BUT! Your concern is touching.
