At the end of ROBOTS IN DISGUISE, Sky-Byte was last seen on Earth. Was he pardoned by the Autobots, or did he manage to escape them? IMO I think he was pardoned. Galvatron did turn on him, breaking his loyalty, and in any case Koji owed him a favour since he'd unintentionally rescued his father.
The Hall of Fame profile suggests he wasn't pardoned, but he was tolerated since he spent his time attacking illegal fishing boats and other things that helped coast patrols worldwide. So not really escape and not pardoned either, so much as "we can tolerate him as long as he's not causing any real harm to anyone"

Skye Byte lived a fruitfull life, after applying to Harvard University. He trained to become a lawyer, and so he did. Taking case after case, and winning them all. "The Shark", his fellow lawyers remarked, passing through the hallway. Because, at the sign of a faulty opposition, Sky-Byte....would bite! It wasn't until his eighth year as a super lawyer, that his position just wasn't where he wanted to be. He owned so many things, so many nice things. But, what was the point of it all, he wondered. So, Sky-Byte began backpacking throughout Africa, and hunting out water sources, saving various tribes from extinction, and bassicly running out the War Criminals. However, Sky-Byte wasn't timeless. Though Cybertronian, he still aged. So, he bought himself a nice home in Texas, and with the money he had left afterwards he funded the "Skye Tech Laboritory", where they study in the field of Cybertech, a Cybertronian inspired technology, that helps human beings heal quicker, and render modern medicine as we know it, useless. Though, even as a founder. Time still moved for him, as he was full Cybertronian. And, every day became one less day he had to live. He began to take on Lawyering once again, in between his poetry slams he hosted at his new bar, just to pay for the building. Then, one night out of the blue. A old enemy arrived at Sky-byte's door, it was Scourge. He asked him for money, energon, and anything else to survive. But, Sky-byte refused to give anything to this Destron. This was his mistake. For, years later Scourge would then sabotage the Cybertech lab, causing most of its recipients to turn into immortal mindslaves for Scourge's personal army... And although Sky-Byte was old... He remembered the times in Africa, taking down other Cybertronians that hid there, that where the true source of all choas. He remembered, the worth of human life. All of them. An Old Enemy Cold from winter snowstorms Happy for release. This was Sky-Bytes last haiku. He died in the fight to save humanity, writing that last haiku down in his own leaking energon...
I always imagined he became a published author and lived a life of quiet luxury somewhere in the Caiman Islands while occasionally sinking a whaling fleet or something
He died cold and alone, having never known a woman's touch. No, wait...that would be Raf's fate. Got mixed up there for a second. As for SkyByte, his life on Earth was filled with peace and happiness...until that odd day when a motorcycle punk in a leather jacket jumped over him on water skis. After that, things were never the same for poor SkyByte.
He probably should be hunted down and made to pay for his war crimes but since he recently made friends with some kids I guess it's okay to let him roam free now.
