First, thanks to Frenzy_Rumble for the paint tips (and for the soon-to-be-received water-slide decals).

I think I was doing pretty well until I started applying the "rust" effect. It looks nice around the bottom of the vehicle, around the bumper & such, but I went a bit overboard elsewhere and it looks more like a random smear than actual rustiness around the edges. Oh well, it is what it is. Always room for improvement. There's still a few minor details left to do (the water-slide decals, once they arrive, coloring the red tail lights, etc).

As always, thoughts & critiques are welcome.

I still think it looks good, man. If anyone asks, tell 'em they both decided to eat some chocolate ice cream. ;)

    Still nice work though.

I think we can be our own worst critics sometimes. However, I find it very useful to listen to myself in this regard. However, when this tends to happen, often times the smallest of issues can be blown up out of proportion. I think this same process is going on here some.

You may have went just a tad overboard, but you can always go back and fix this. I'd say this is something a little alcohol and another go at this would fix :)

I dunno. I think it matches the filth that came out of their mouths in the movie...

Honestly, having been with my Mom and Brother when they did an ice cream truck route, I like the look and touch. The robot modes are the definite highlights. Nice work, very nice!

MAN, you just keep the surprises coming!!!!! Looks good. I think the paint could have been a little thinner while you applied. Non the less, I really did it.

Yeah, I'll probably give it another go this weekend, try to touch up a few things here and there and get rid of some of the "smear" look to it. The thing that really sucks is that, other than the vehicle images, you never get a good look at their bot modes and there aren't any CGI reference images of them either (not that I know of, anyway).

That being the case, you could simply wait until we get the DVD release :)

Oh no, I can't wait that long, lol.

Been a crazy week, hopefully I'll get to take another shot at them this weekend (along with finishing up ROTF Devastator).

:lol  I know the feelling. :)

I hope your week has settled down some. Somehow, I managed to work on Jolt's energon whips in the midst of the mild chaos at home this past week. Whoops, I gotta put that cat back in the bag! *gets clawed* :lol
