I always read that as a reference to the movie, when one of the dinobots disappears through it. Snarl, who happened to turn into the same dinosaur alt mode

 

Now all we need is a bot who transformers into an ATARI. Gan you imagine the kind of Pong games these guys would have? Would put Balls of Fury to shame!

Thats the only pic that exists, he was a character in a short story, not a comic book.

Unlikely, since Wheeljack only created the Dinobots in the cartoon. Since Paddles would have been a comic-based character, odds are he's a full-fledged Cybertronian who got reformatted when he got to Earth.

Ha, I had almost forgotten about this, thought it was a fanfic after so long.

As it's been stated before, it's the Transformers LEGENDS Novel, a collection of short stories, some good some crappy, edited (to many authors to type right this second) by David Cian.

I'll post a pic in a bit.

 

The stories range from G1 to BW to just about every thing. One of my fav's besides Paddles is the kickass one with Wreck Gar - major badass.

I had that same thought as well. Puddles sounds more like a cute an cuddly dog then a Dinobot.
