This I'd love to see. I felt a bit cheated with Jetfire in RotF that we didn't get a decent robot VS robot dogfight.
Yah, Jetfire wouldn't have had much chance as a Blackbird. A Raptor's maneuverability insanely out-matches that of a Blackbird (which was used primarily as a stealth plane, I believe, rather than for dogfighting).
He'll be voiced by James Avery. If Silverbolt doesn't say "Tonight I dine on turtle soup!" or any variation of that...I'll be pissed.
I honestly thought the gold bot was silverbolt at first lol. because his shoulders were like starscream's. But I just dont know, if the fire truck is SP then ok Im confused we need confirmations Bay cmon.
I want silverbolt to be a winged dog! xD but I know that's impossible, so I'm hoping (if he's in movie) that he's some sort of battle jet to fight starscream/distract starscream right before it's death
The thought of a dog fight is exciting. Not only watching these planes fly across the air but those planes transforming into robot mode and grappling one another mid air. The visuals are limitless and exciting.
They probably just had trouble conceptualizing how a blackbird would function in a dogfight, since it never actually happened IRL, the blackbird is not designed to handle it, and would be easily destroyed by any modern fighter jet. As a matter of fact, it wasn't even a bomber, as some believe it was. Still, it would have been very cool to see it tried. I think they pride themselves on the authenticity of the military planes and how they're used in these movies.
DOGFIGHT! I agree that the downside of Jetfire was that because he was old, there was no chance he was doing any complex acrobatic shit in the air. Silverbolt vs Starscream would be excellent. I hope his personality is based more of BW Silverbolt's knight in shining armour deal.
Well Sky Lynx, Astrotrain and Blast Off are shuttles. I like Silverbolt as a jet. Somebody said it on the imdb message boards. How does he know about it, I don't know.
