I find Family Guy to be generally unwatchable.

I don't really watch many sitcoms, though. The only two I really loved were Seinfeld and Malcolm in the Middle.

Miranda, she's just not funny, it's not that I wish she was dead, I just wish she wasn't on TV, it's the kind of thing you find funny when you were 6, not as a grown person.

Everybody Loves Raymond tops my list. It seems like every episode they use the same jokes over and over again, hoping that eventually one attempt will actually be funny. There are others too, but ELR is the worst in my opinion.

sidenote: Why do laughtracks even exist? It makes lame jokes feel even more lame!

Funny, because I'm the exact opposite. I'd like the show if it was just Zooey, but the roommate guys ruin it for me. They're just to "normal bro" for me to find funny or interesting.

As for what sitcoms I find painful to watch...I might as well just say all of them because when the percentage is around 98 it just doesn't make sense to get into details. :lol

I agree. I never understood the following it had or the huge paychecks of it's cast.

No insults. Please read the rules.

Seriously though, what show in specific? I'm just asking because I've always liked his comedy & The Office, but I've never really seen him in anything else.

Also, Fresh Prince was awesome haha.

    how I met your mother

it's the same crap over and over again, who ever ted likes or is dating in an episode or two you know he's going to break up with them because that's not "the mother (who you never actually see or know until probably the final episode) robin is on her stupid TV show that absolutely nobody watches. lily and Marshall are always having their pathetic baby issues and all barney really is is a blond charlie Harper who obsesses over his suits and the "bro-code". the casting, actors plot lines are terrible and it does not deserve the popularity and money it receives. everything about the show is bad, just when friends is out of everybody's heads a new sitcom has to come along and plague society.

also, why do shows have the background laughter? do they really think people are so stupid that they need an invisible audience to let them know which emotion to feel?

How I Met Your Mother is probably one of the worst TV shows I've ever seen.

this; except for michelle's lines *especially when she was young*

but shouldn't we make lists of ones that are NOT painful to watch? i think that's going to be the much shorter list. :lol  then again, most sitcoms i don't like.

i do like the addams family sitcom though. and a few of the older ones from the 60's-80's. but anything after that, not so good lol.

Any currant show still using a laugh track it corny and dated. the classing "filmed before a live studio audience" is a relic of TV's past.

Most live sit-coms don't do anything for me anymore. I'm content to stick with my animated comedies.

Most of them. Not much of a sitcom person myself.

I did like Friends and Just Shoot Me! though...

The crop of new American stuff over the last five years or so has been mostly crap. I couldn't even name any of it specifically since it all looks and sounds pretty much the same. When going to watch Big Bang Theory (which I do enjoy) on E4 it's always sandwiched between some unfunny crap and some other unfunny crap. Pretty much anything since (and including) Will and Grace started has been poor.
On this side of the ocean there's been other crap too. That thing with Simon Amstell. And the one with Jack Whitehall, who I just loathe in general. I'm thinking if they just stopped putting flavour of the month assholes into their own sitcoms I might perhaps like some of the shows. Perhaps without those people I dislike they might actually even be half watchable.
Entirely my first thought. The only thing he's ever been in which I enjoyed is An Idiot Aboard, but then I skip the Gervais (and Merchant - who I dislike too) bit at the beginning anyway because I'm only in it for the Pilk.
