Read about this after the passing of Don Lafontaine... very sad day for fans of both of them...

I had to listen to "Amos Moses" after I heard of his passing..

I known him from the movie, the Waterboy starring Adam Sandler. Man, RIP Jerry Reed.

Do you remember the movie "Gator" with both Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed? The only thing I did'nt like about it is that Reed played the bad guy in that one.

In a world where we are east bound and down...

I'm not gonna say the man was the best ever. I don't know him from anything besides Smokey and the Bandit (and SATB 2...didn't see 3). But Smokey and the Bandit, along with Star Wars, was one of the foundational movies of my childhood.

Oh man! I had no idea he passed! I really liked his music and, of course, his role in Smokey and the Bandit. Seriously, if you are a fan of Country music in any way check out his songs! There are quite a few humurous songs, but there were a lot of great "traditional" songs as well. Easily one of the best Country guitar players ever! I'm really sad to hear of his passing! RIP, Jerry! :(
