That "song" as people call it is so annoying, its not even catchy, and its like a sing speak too which is even worse. Anyways it was somewhat interesting. I agree, The Simpsons have sucked for a while, but its not like I"m opposed to it still being on the air.

Yeah, that's about where it went sour for me too. I also think the quality of the animation has disimproved over the years. While it was initially sloppy in season 1, they've gone so far in the opposite direction that they overdraw everything in the newer episodes. It's all so tight and anal and luminous now. It was a lot looser in the earlier episodes, there was more fun in the drawings. They never go off-model anymore, it's all traced and cookie-cutter and there isn't the same creativity. The character models have gotten so rigid that they now consider Matt Groening's drawings off-model.
I think nerd rage comments on the internet were a lot funnier 10 years ago. What now? While I absolutely agree with your view on Futurama, I have to ask did you really expect The Simpsons to have ever stopped?
Don't expect the show to end anytime soon. Fox has 3 more years ordered for the show! I don't mind new episodes but i wish they would air the classic ones also. Funny intro but i never of the song.
