Yes they reorganized the menu... but honestly, it's quicker to just go through the select/move mode for me. I haven't gone through the store menu in a very long time.
It's like Money Mountain or the Redwood. Just giving those people sitting on millions of in-game cash something to do. You can connect water to the dam, so I'm working on that slowly but surely.
Click on your Daily Task icon, top right of screen. There's a new green notebook with the new "Roads To Riches" tasks. The Dam is the first prize.
Oh yeah. Thanks man! I started on it and totally forgot about it *edit* BTW, how do you connect the water to it? I tried putting it in front of the dam where it's own water is, but it never connects it. There's always that tiny strip of land between the dam and the water.
using some strategic planning, I managed to save up 51 shovels overnight. I was seven....7 stones away from that little dinosaur. all my shovels are gone now....I still need two more stones.
I am not sure, I don't have it yet, but I've seen pictures. Can you place the water first and then position the dam over it?
Just tried that. It didn't work Oh well. It's not like I have a whole lot of space to try to make it work anyway lol
On the EA forum they are saying (with visual evidence) that you place one river piece down, then overlap it by one grid space with the dam. It will only work if you use one grid space.
Ok. That worked. The only minor nuisance to that is, I had to move it out one space from the back of the map. Oh well, I'll live with it But here's what I got out of it so far: Cypress Creek is really a creek now The base has it's source of water? Too bad I couldn't get the water to overlap that. In laziness, I just linked it to the moat surrounding the items from the medival event, or whatever it was called:
Anyone else kinda struggling with the prize track? Just 4+ days to go, and I'm still not really close to the prize before Caveman Moe.
I made sure I had folks working for, and I used those shovels every four hours (or at least when I could) and visited neighbors every day til I got him. I just now sent Booberella on a task other than shopping for shovels...first time since the event began. But before this, ever since she became "free" to go to the market to get them, that's what her and the others have been doing. I'm trying to get them up to the max (199 I think?) for part two - Egypt. I figure if I can, I may be able to blast thru the list a lil quicker?...
I don't have Booberella's outfit or the Fisherman, so I just have the 5 main characters getting shovels... but they've been constantly going for them. I guess I should be visiting more neighbors, but I really don't think I should be THIS far behind. EDIT: I just checked an Event Calendar and it looks like I'm a day ahead of the pace, so I guess I'm ok, but man it feels like I'm behind.
It's kinda of a crap shoot to me for the excavation site. I thought if I recognized the stone being in a cross pattern, that'd help me save some shovels, but sometimes I got lucky and hit the stone on the first dig Other times, I used a lot of shoves just to find the surrounding rocks.
yep, same for me. at first I was just diggin anywhere...but once I saw the cross pattern, I got a lil better at it.
