*cker... I got Silverbolt tonight, thanks to a Target giftcard a coworker gave me, and Target's lack of their own G.I. Joe exclusives (stupid Rattlers...). I get home, open him up: - No instruction booklet. The store I got him at is an hour and a half away (was visiting a friend), and by now they're all closed, even the ones close to me. Thanks to the hurricanes down south, our house got flooded, and the fun is supposed to repeat tomorrow (Sunday) as well, so I really don't feel like driving out in that crap again, if I don't have to go to work (which I don't). I know Hasbro has had downloadable PDFs of instruction sheets, but I've spent the last 20 minutes searching their site, finding two things: Jack & Sh**. Can someone help me out, please? I don't feel like "winging it". I like following the directions. Help! My Silverbolt is stuck in alt mode!!
*points below* It's funny you should mention that instructions thing. I saw a Silverbolt sitting on the shelf and his instructions were sticking half way out of the package, and it was still factory sealed! I went ahead and looked at the instructions thoroughly (cuz I was curious), and then made sure it was shoved in behind some twist ties to keep it retained. Worked. I will say this...he's pathetically simple. One of the worst figures I've ever seen. There's absolutely no reason for a figure of his size to be that simplistic.
If you have transformed G1 Silverbolt before, just follow the same exact general steps, no really its not a joke, it will work, even with your eyes closed lol
Must be an early April Fools. What's next, can't transform Activators Bumblebee without instructions?
doesn't anyone watch reviews on the internet. if i had Silverbolt i would review him so you can he see his transformations.
Wow......seriously?......I mean.....look at him......he's not too hardto figure out since, you know, he's basically half-way transformed inhis alt mode anyway.
well, i personally like having an instruction sheet with each of my boxed figures.. secondly, i agree that silverbolt is ridiculously simple to transform, but that doesnt make it a bad figure at ALL...thirdly, someone was right, QC is not just about paint jobs... i would be quite annoyed to find a brand new figure without instructions either....and i tend to follow instructions the first time i transform a figure
Really? He's a bad figure because he has a simple transformation? In the Masterpiece line, that might work. However, as other posters repeatedly remind us, on main lines, the ones sold in retail stores, they're directed at kids. So a 20-minute transformation is not a good thing.
When did simple and elegant become mutually exclusive. I think Silverbolt is kind of fun to transform and if I were a kid playing with him, I'd be glad I could transform him in seconds rather than suspending play to take 3-5 minutes to change the thing. (and it does take kids time like that on a lot of figures...)
My Titanium Rodimus Prime came with Titanium RID Prime's instructions. Like Primes are interchangeable or something. I was able to work out the transformation just from looking at the box photos (I'm an old hand at this transforming lark ), but since I like to rebox my stuff to MIB eventually it was kinda irksome. Luckily a pal of mine that sometimes buys TFs just bins his boxes and instructions so I was able to have his sheet when he bought himself one.
