After seeing the movie last night, I was curious to see if there were any good Silver Surfer Toys. The local Wal Mart didn't have any in the FF line, but after browsing a bit, I saw a whole pile from the Marvel Legends line. I was like, "Oh man, these must be cool!" When I picked it up for a closer look, I was surprised to see that he looked more like a Grey than the Surfer. So I had to settle for the Super Hero Squad version: I'm glad I'm not a toy collector in general, because most of what I see sucks. I guess its just hard to screw up robots. We should be lucky that there are no humans in the Trans Movie toy line.
We do not know what the future holds....soon there may be Sam and Mikaela dolls/action figures. *fears what fanboys would do to a Mikaela figure*
Anyone has pictures of the reissued ML Silver Surfer? If he's too grey, I will give him a skip. Oh yeah, I didn't know the Super Hero Squad version of the Surfer is so...shiny!
Its not. Its like the Robot Heroes Megatron "Super Metal" finish. But the chrome is promotional paint only. Still looks nice though.
Actually, according to my fellow local ML nuts, he's not. He's taller, more silver, and has a better board as far (as they're concerned).
But without the duck he's useless! Was there any particular reason why the original release of the Surfer came with Howard?
