I kind of had a feeling that the mint would be pissed off about this.

What a dumb idea. Should've went with the traditional fast food tie-ins instead.

Did they really think there wouldn't be any problems with this? I mean how many levels of beauracrats, lawyers, legal specialists and executives does these things have to go through? Someone should have spotted the legal problem at some point.

Be nice to get hold of one of them for when they're rare.
Still a silly idea though - There are dozens of far better potential marketing ideas to be exploited before that one.

I questioned the legality of this in the other thread, I feel so vindicated now.

How could they NOT ask permission to make their own money? I would think that would be the first thing they would do.

I didn't see this coming, actually. Oh well, I was wrong. Happens all the time.

And I liked the first FF movie.

I would agree that this is a little surprising to me as well. I would have assumed that they would have had all of the "i"'s dotted and "t"'s crossed before even attempting a promotion like this.

As for it being a stupid idea... I thought it was relatively unique and an interesting way to promote the movie.

Agree. I figured they wouldn't just go and do that without having proper authorization.

When I first heard about it I thought it was cool until I saw the damn things. A coin with a sticker on the back, lolz
