That's more likely the usual photoshopping done on packaging pictures of the toys, I'm afraid. :(

That appears to be a japanese catalog, so maybe takara/tomy movie toys will have slightly different colors?

I feel like I'm about to walk into a minefield for posting this, but, if these are being distributed by Takara/Tomy, is there the possibility that their paint apps will be different?

EDIT: Jinx LOL Tfgraveyard owes me a coke.

Also look at Deluxe Jazz, his windows appear to be grey instead of the stand-out blue of the Hasbro release.

actually guys, if you look close that is the old head mold of megatron in the pic, if you look closely enough you can sorta see it.

The shade is a bit darker but I blame the quality of the photo. The blue is still there.

As for chroming Optimus the picture of him is stock (upper left hand corner) and was on the ML Prime box as well. All fo the figures look a bit silvery even if theyh are gray on the boxes.

As for Jazz he still has the blue windows though I cant be sure they are clear like the toys. However his gun barrel is blue now instead of black without a doubt.

It looks as though you are looking at the F.A.B. Jazz instead of the deluxe, I'm looking at the deluxe version further up and his windows definitely don't seem blue and neither does his telescopic gun.

*whacks monitor* dunno, what does everyone else think?

I wonder what the inevitable Leader-Class Megatron repaint will look like. I really hope it's something cool, because I passed on the first release thanks to the baby blue and barbie pink styling's of Hasbro's creative team...

I think that's bad eyesight, sadly.

Looks a LOT like the pics we first saw of the figure.

I think we've seen quite a bit of information indicating that the Japanese toys are the US versions repackaged (with some minor exceptions like Bumblebee), and it seems most of the color variations here could be due to the poor quality of the photo.

Moving to Toyark until we've got more concrete info about any real differences.

their repainting all of the movie figures, I'm sure they will do a silver megatron. If not it'll be purple.

That's a picture of the preproduction prototype. The one with the different head and paint apps. The one on the back of the US box.
