Apparently, I'm not allowed to have an opinion without getting ridiculed for it.

Speaking as a G1 lover and a Movie lover, I have 2 things to say:
    1. *sigh* not again.
    and
    2. Nice wheelie Bumblebee is pulling there.

    Speeking as a movie-lover/G1 non-lover, I have to say:

Thank God those cars weren't used.

    But seriously, another anti-movie thread?

It's not an anti-movie thread. I liked the movie.

I wanted to see what G1 live-action cars would look like.

Did no one see my request that the Pro-Movie/Anti-G1 people not comment, since - duh - it'd be negative!?

The title and caption strongly suggest otherwise. You say you think the makers of the film are silly for using attractive and role-fitting vehicles for the film as upposed to un-attractive relatively ill-fitting old cars. Then you imply that the Autobots in the movie are not real Autobots because they weren't the cars you wanted.

Actually it's an art thread. I dont think this has any Movie protest in it. It's a fun pic someone made.

    So seriously, no it's not.

Sounds kinda anti-movie to me, as I explained. Also, not to be rude, but why put me on the spot when Draven basicaly said the same thing I did?

Strange, since I've noticed you drooling over Encore reissue Jazz. And other G1-ish things. Plus commenting on how much you dislike some of the movie merchandise.

The movie's story was no better than a few G1 episodes, and that's forgoing Michael Bay's inability to tell action scenes apart form a story.

In a perfect Michael Bay movie, characters wouldn't have names or lines.

So not liking some of the movie figures and liking reissues makes me a movie hater? So I like reissue Jazz and MP SS, BIG DEAL! I still think it would be a poor choice of car for him in the film. So I don't like one or two movie figures, BIG DEAL!! How does that possibly imply I don't like the movie.

This has nothing to do with the thread and is nothing more than blatant movie-bashing. It was a Transformers movie, how deep could the plot actually be?

I understand the parody, but you must understand how I interpreted it as anti-movie as you imply the makers didn't make the movie for the viewers, which is obviously not the case since making an entertaining movie for viewers is the whole point.

About a month ago, I spent four hours searching. I had the pics I wanted, so I didn't search further. Not to mention the same picture doesn't always appear in the same search. And even if I had found that picture...I don't like that Beetle. It's too smushed. I wanted the more..."bubbly" one.

Michael Bay stated that he didn't want to use a VW for BB, because he thought it was stupid. That's why I used that parody.

I love 08 Camaro BB, but I think it would've been cool to see him more G1. Hence...why I made the picture!! :banghead:

Have you ever listened to the man speak? I love both Bad Boys, was the only person on the planet who loved The Island, and have seen Armageddon more times than I would care to admit. I spent $30 on the 2-disc, metal case of Transformers, when I could easily have gotten the one disc for $14. I like the movie. But that doesn't change the fact that Bay is a narcissitic tool. Now I'm bashing Michael Bay. Not in the thread title.

No, he said that with Herbie: fully loaded that just came out like last yera, people would compare BB to a Herbie ripoff. I agree that that wouldn't have been the best move. And I mearly said the title IMPLIED an anti-movie thread.

I'm not a G1 hater. I think the G1 show sucked, but I think some of the toys from then are cool novelties, and I like the look of some of thier updated renditions (MP SS for example).

I hate always being put on the spot just because I liked the movie and don't like G1 as much as everyone else.
