It did? Huh. Might pick it up. I REALLY don't want to though. It looks worse than SH5. It doesn't even have combat. STill, I might.

It received some decent reviews. I REALLY want it on the Wii, but the PS2 version comes with the soundtrack, and I'm a SH music lover. I may end up getting both because I want the Wii flashlight controls. I don't mind no combat. I think the worst nightmare ever would be being stuck in SH with no way to defend yourself.

huh...i got the soundtrack with the Wii version (given that it was a pre-order bonus...but i didn't pre-order it...i just asked for it)

and yes...it actually is more freaky with the monsters chasing you with no way to fight back :D

Well then Gamestop sux for telling me that the Wii version didn't, otherwise I would have purchased it this weekend.

Where did you pick yours up? I hate to be picky, but I LOVE Silent Hill music enough to go hunting for it.

    Lemme check it out.

edit: Brilliant, and I love the nod to the SH theme towards the end.

I had hoped for something better.....

I've been a fan of the Silent Hill line since the original game came out for the Playstation 1 and(this is just MY opinion) it seemed to jump the shark after SH4.Origins & Homecoming just dont have the appeal of the original games and try too hard to copy a successful horror-survival RPG with just the right amount of action plus puzzle solving.SM from what I've seen already just looks like a straight puzzle game with very little action and I can see it becoming a shelf-warmer quickly.I guess I expected something better because of the difference between how games were made when the original SH came out and now but sadly no.

But I was always into Silent Hill for Atmosphere and what you "didn't" always see. Action was literally the bottom of my reasons for playing it. The fighting was clumsy and the shooting was passive, but I never really played it for those reasons, so this may still appeal to me.

I gotta agree on those points...

SH games always knew the right way to scare someone, especially playing them at 2:27 in the morning in a dark room,ALONE and SM doesnt dissapoint in that area.I just like my games to have an equal amount of puzzles and action and I hope this isnt REALLY the last game in the series.

Indeed, I would still like a Next Gen one that doesn't suck. I really hope the music in future titles is up to par.

One thing that brings me hope is that there is another movie coming, and love the film or hate it, it means another game may come out around the time to support it.

Finally picked this up for the Wii. Best implementation of the Wiimote that I have experienced. I love how the phone rings on the Wiimote instead of the TV. And not having weapons makes the abomination attacks even more frantic and frightening. Consider me scared and pleased with this game.

And yeah, I got the real soundtrack now. If this is his last outing for the series, he went out with a bang.

Unfortunately, being the season that it is, I can't go out and buy it since I may get it for Christmas. I'm fine with waiting, but I really would have wanted to get a hold of the soundtrack.
