I had an extra original Sigma 6 Snake Eyes just collecting dust so I decided to do a simple repaint into a Red Ninja Viper. The Sigma 6 line needs more Cobra figures anyways.

The head and limbs are pretty much done. Now it's just the torso and upper legs/arms. Only have two coats on that so far. Needs many more.

Oh and here's the reference pic:

    NICE!!

But, how is this custom going to Transform? ;-)

I lost interest in the Sigma 6 line after 4KidsTV dropped it here from the Saturday line-up. Jerks.

The Dragonhawk is on clearance at Toys'R'Us right now...

Keep us updated on your progress!

Need some help. Here's what I've got so far:

Before I put on the final coat of matte varnish, I was thinking about dry brushing some black on the red to give him a more "weathered" look.

    Good idea or no?

I would keep him clean. The figure style looks better clean, as its not a very realistic looking character, but very stylized and a bit cartoony. Especially the figures usually have clean simple graphic paint job.

I was thinking that as well but the counter point I had was that it looked too close to Inferno being red and completely clean. Which is why I had second thoughts and am considering breaking up the red cleanliness of it.

If you did a dark red/maroon wash, that'd be pretty sweet imo.

Finished him up today and gave him a bunch of Storm Shadow's accessories.
