So yeah, these guys are a little smaller. At least, they are generally the size of what had been considered the smaller sized deluxes. But that's fine to me... SO FAR. The Prime Wars Trilogy was filled with retool after retool and sometimes new molds but completely copied and pasted engineering. Not to mention the repeatedly used giant chunk in every CW and POTP deluxe- the combiner connection. That all definitely lowered costs. SO FAR, these figures are all unique. I am sure that will change, and we will see repaints and retools rolling in, and I will be choosy with paying $20 for them for sure. I would have liked them to be bigger, because why not, but I'm happy with their paint aps (like it or not, even without the battle damage they hold up) and their engineering. I'm happy to see articulated feet for every character in a main line finally. Anyways, I'm riding high on the line now until it churns out those retools and repaints that don't make sense.

 

Got shipping notification for my Cog... Can't wait for attaching even MORE guns to my TR Triggerhappy.

I would also like to thank this thread for making me smile. I haven't kept up with the post wave-1 stuff too well and until reading how the weaponizers go with the citybots in theme I realized in wave 3 my Trypticon(favorite one) will be "complete."

Picked up Cog from Toy Dojo today just because I wanted to display it with LG Fortress Maximus!

Not sure if it matters but Fortress is COVERED in 5mm ports. It’s certainly a must own for all of us that originally complained about Fortress’ lack of partners during its original release. Bring on Brunt and Sixgun  

 

Awesome. I never thought I'd regret passing on Fort Max. It was mostly a protest pass since I believed Fort Max deserved his own dedicated mold rather than a retool of Plexy (albeit a very extensive retool). Kinda wish I'd grabbed one when they were out there for cheaps.

 

Still sorting out how these guys interact but there they are.

 

You can make some decent blasters for FM but annoyingly there is a configuration that looks close to the original rifle but comes just short of pegging together.



Still, it's nice to have some accessories for FM finally.

ive order 6 to go with my FTMax "the cogs" use 2 as parts/weapons on max and not sure bout display'n the others liked the song of oh his "cogs" lol like a mini army of drone to care for the city/bot modes

 

I passed on Cog when I saw him the other day...looking forward to getting Sixgun. Maybe I'll get Cog too so they can weaponize each other. I'm hoping that doesn't result in total protonic reversal...

 

He's actually a really great figure. I didn't think I'd use the Weaponizer feature, but it's actually a lot of fun and makes the other Deluxes look quite impressive. I'm so glad I got him and he's actually the one I play with the most.

Finally! Managed to finagle a Twin Cannon mode for Max's Battlestation mode, with a bit of cheating...

Couldn't quite swing a version with the crotch fully integrated and decided "Yo, Dawg, I know you love turrets so I put a turret on your turret!"


That'll do, lad.

The secret is blatantly abusing a couple of the chest/shield's wells either side of the hinges!

I'm impressed by how much of an upgrade he is from the G1 figure. Retaining all the features of that figure plus extra articulation plus being able to become weapons for other figures? Solid. This guy made partsforming sexy again.
