Yay, this surely will convince people it isn't a reformatted Barricade.

 

Yeah. If they aren't going to rechristen Megatron as Galvatron to avoid confusion, they aren't going to do it for anybody else.

 

The more i see it, the more reminds me to Barricade.
But we know, that it can´t be.. don't we?

 

A lot of the new ROTF characters look like homages to the old ones..

Sideways resembles Barricade, Sideswipe resembles Jazz (although IS NOT JAZZ)

This reminds me of the scene from TFA where bumblebee explains why Wasp looks like him. (And CliffJumper and a bunch of other bots)

Perhaps the movieverse have similar Protoform styles that bots are made from?

 

I really don't see the Jazz-Sideswipe resemblance, aside from them being silver Autobot cars.

 

And both being considerably small compared to the other autobots, and having large chest areas.

It's a fleeting resemblance at most, but its still worth at least noting.

 

I think Sideswipe is on head height with Bumblebee, he appears to be the tallest new autobot excluding Jetfire.

Ya, in videogames why are all the round things pointed!? Like in TFA the wheels are octogons. thats why I love the TFA animation, its so oblong!

 

Obviously it's Barricade's alter-ego, a la Batman/Bruce Wayne.

There's similarities and there's differences. Most notably in the shape and overall silouhette. Sideways has a bigger torso and Barricade has broader shoulders.

In addition, I think Barricade has 4 eyes, arachnid style.

Though maybe that's just a Clark Kent-type disguise.

Anyways.. it's natural that some robots are like others, it's like humans. Or Animals, they are from a diferent race and like us, they are similars but no quite different.. although jetfire is a Cave~robot.
 

 

Im so sick of this ' Barricade is Sideways BS'...

 

Plus both has little wings.
