    Hi,
In reading various fanfics I often hear Sideswipe being referred to as a twin with Sunstreaker. Obviously this isn't from the movies, is this from transformers animated or a section of G1 I haven't seen yet?
Or is this various authors that all decided to make this a fact? lol
Thanks is advance for your answers

Started in G1. Both Lamborghini's so they're often called the "Lambo twins" or "lambo bros"

In the techspecs for the original two characters, it states they're 'fraternal twins'. It was never explained how that could be so, but it was made clear they do have a special bond at the very least.

My understanding is its basically a splitting of sparks.

The part that's not explained is how they can be fraternal twins. Spark splitting would be just like identical twins, and makes sense. But fraternal twins are simply two children who share the womb and nothing else...but of course Transformers don't HAVE wombs.

Personally I prefer the 'sparked at the same time' theory, but it was made pretty clear that their relationship is unique at the very least.

Welcome to the fandom. Yep, good ol' G1. In the time before back-stories mattered. Yes, they were twins, and it really didn't matter how.

Well, let's say they ARE a split spark. But they were built different bodies. Like Jetfire and Jetstorm weren't identical after they were rebuilt.

    And twins RULE.

I heard they are brothers, but then on the Transfromers Wiki they were twins. I wanted to see that in the movie though D: Sadly no Sunstreaker

That movie definitely needed more Sunstreaker.

No, but we've seen protoforms being grown in gel-filled sacs or capsules. Maybe under certain circumstances, two separate sparks and protoforms start off in the same capsule?

Yeah, perhaps they could've have just been two different sparks that shared the same spark chamber.
