Sideshow Collectibles Sideshow Collectibles Signs Licensing Agreement with Hasbro and the Transformers Brand

Strange that they only now confirm it, since they already showed a WIP for their Prime statue. Still, great news, if only because this means they will have more then just the Prime statue coming out! :rock

This is great news, i really hope we get all the bots now in all their detailed glory that the Hasbro toys couldn't provide. This better also include the bots from the first movie sometime down the line.

Yes! More Prime statues, because there are only about fifteen out there to choose from already. :p

    Still, Sideshow is good news.

I AM excited to see what they come up with, don't get me wrong. And for the people who can afford it, that's really good news.... But what I'd like to see, are good looking TF's for those of us who AREN'T rich. Sideshow puts out great stuff. I don't think I've ever seen a bad product from them. However that really great stuff comes with a really big price tag. When it comes down to rent, or a really nice display piece, rent wins.

About time! I mentioned this a few times already in various threads. I was hoping they would get it, because I really don't think those mini-busts do Transformers justice. Anyways, I hope it's not just a bunch of movie statues. I'd like some G1 stuff too!

    Statues ! Yes !

Thank god for that. If these statues truly capture the detail and accuracy of the characters on screen appearances, then it will be the best TF toys ever to me.

I had to content myself with Robot Replicas until now, so hopefully this will take it one step further and make them even more detailed and screen-accurate. Instant buys as soon as I see them. Now, if only they would make a screen-accurate Devastator .. the price will be no object.

Transformers are relatively inexpensive collectibles. This movie line has moved the franchise into the mainstream acceptance and unfortunately that includes overpriced, overpainted, fragile gallery display pieces.

I don't believe even slightly that these things will transform, just be movie accurate.

additionally if it costs the same as the batman or terminator figures did, for the same money you can really dig deep into masterpiece, binaltech and misb g1 figures.

I really thought we were well covered on the high end collectible front anyway do to those takara product lines. Sideshow is a burden.

I, for one, like higher end stuff. I have migrated away from buying toys and started buying statues. I don't play with the toys anyways...just sit on a shelf looking cool. Well, statues are perfect for that....only..they're a lot cooler as far as detail and work put into them.
