So I know we have just over 7 months to go before botcon but I was wondering if anyone else makes side trips when they go to botcon, Last year me and my buddy went to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. This upcoming year we are thinking about making a side trip to OCC, Orange County Choppers, in Montgomery, New York. it's about 90 minutes out of the way but I think it would be a great idea, any one else

I get to be surrounded by reconfigurable plastic for 3 days. I will consider eating and sleeping "side trips".

That would rock to go to OCC. Last year, hubby, Motor_Master and I made a side trip to Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Creepy, creepy place.

In 2005 I intended to go to the Dr. Pepper museum in Texas, which is the only place that still makes Dr. Pepper with pure cane sugar, as well as Graceland, but then I got away late and didn't have time for either.

I'm not quite sure if I'm going to do any "side-trips" if I go to BotCon next summer (it'll be my first time), since I am most likely going to be flying, but I'm going to hang around in Providence for a few days after the con is over with and see some sites, catch the live-action Transformers movie in theatres, and then head back home. But going to the OCC, that'll be sweet...

Orange County Choppers. They make custom bikes for REALLY famous people (I.E. Will Smith, Lance Armstrong, Jorge Posada, etc.) Anyways, if you have cable, tune into Discovery Channel. They have a series called American Chopper, which is a show about OCC.

I went to OCC once. I used to live in NY. TONS of people are there in the morning trying to get autographs, trust me. :lol

I had money saved up and also a few polices and shares that matured last year and I used that for the last one.

Unfortunatly it wiped out most of that money, and with my current wage I don't think I'll able to save up enough for it.
There are also other reasons why I might not be able to attend.

I wish I didn't have to work and still be able to afford things.

If my fiancee goes, we'll probably spend a few extra days in Boston. We love it there. Especially the food. Legal Seafood FTW! Plus Faneuil Hall, Newberry St, Copley Square, and Harvard Square. Oh, and maybe catch another Red Sox game.

If she doesn't go though, I'll try to catch a Paw Sox game instead. And maybe just hang around the Brown University campus area.

What about a side trip to the Hong Kong in Faneuil Hall, Scorpion Bowls FTW!

I've never been to that. Is it on the side of Faneuil? And if those Scorpion Bowls are what I think they are, you might as well call an Ambulance ahead of time since I'll be on a stretcher getting carted out shortly. :lol
