Well, Hot Rod did have a visor that slid down in the '86 movie.
I can't see any budget or time constraints. Previous Movies were the same in this sense, but concepts were just amazing. Look at AOE, we have a new team for Autobots, new gorgeous designs (and evasion modes) for the main cast, Lockdown and his ship, Dinobots, Galvatron, KSI. And they had 3 years too!
Would have loved this face for Lockdown. I enjoyed him better when he had his mask on.
True, but TF5 was the biggest film to date, visually.
And TF5 had the largest robot cast ever.
What if that cancelled Powerwing Sidekick toy from AOE was a planned repaint or retool of Lockdown as Side Kick (lacking the space due to it being a product listing), whom got cancelled? If so he could've had some Powerwing gimmick or come with a partner name Powerwing. Maybe the Legion Class Lockdown that was cancelled would've been repainted and sold in a two-pack with a legion Strafe reoaint?
Did it really though?
doesn't mean anything if 80% of that very large robot cast does nothing but fill the screen or just die the moment we see them.
it's like having brad pitt in the movie but only as a bystander for 5 seconds. it's all wasted money and time.
they clearly just refuse to understand or realy listen to complaints regarding robot screentime if that is their "solution" for more robot screentime.
