Come on, when was the last time we had fun with a great base mode figure? And I mean especially a HUGE one? Robots need battle stations dammit!

Fort Max. And I doubt we'll see another City Former (unless Prime is a huge hit, at G1 level sales, giving Hasbro the Green Light to make Supreme Class Figures again)

Seriously now, why is base bot unpopular with recent TF series? Ever since Beast Wars, no appreciation is shown towards base bots. Sooner or later, I'm guessing base bots are doomed to be extinct just like styroform box

We are seeing playsets now. The Cyberverse playset concept could eventually bring us back to Baseformers. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'd like to see a nice Metroplex or Trypticon, but in scale with the Legion/Commander class figures. So not too big, not too expensive. I love Cyberverse stuff now.

    Well it is Monday...

But yeah, Cyberverse playsets might reintroduce the concepts. I'm not so sure you're going to get actual characters out of Prime's future sets though.

Not only that, make that a transforming base bot. Both a figure AND a base/city/battle station mode. It can only be a simple bot transforming to base, and back. that's all AND I'LL BE HAPPY MAN ONCE AGAIN..

Now let's see some history of base bots throughout the series since G1 (any corrections on these are welcomed)
Beast War - repaint of Trypticon
    RID - none
Armada - Tidalwave is closest, with that seating bunk for Ramjet and Mini-cons alike, but that doesn't count
Energon - none. Could have made Omega Supreme an additional base mode, but yeah..lamee...
Cybertron - none. and the fact that Supreme Starscream being big for nothing actually annoys me
Universe/Classics - none. CHUG, no news whatsoever
Animated - none. and where the hell is Omega Supreme in toy form??

that repaint of Trypticon was in the Japanese line, in which case you'd have to include Fort Max for RID/ Car Robots.

Supreme-class WFC Trypticon with base mode. Do it already.

    +1 for Supreme-class Animated Omega.

    Cyberverse Ark Playset - DOTM

Video Review of the Cyberverse Ark Playset - Transformers News - TFW2005

Granted, the set does not transform into a robot, but give it some time dude...there is a lot of logistics and economy involved...not as simple as you make it sound

Personally couldn't care less about a transforming base/robot to work alongside current figures (Legends/Legions would be the best bet). They could re-deco Cyb. Metroplex into a more G1 deco and I would be happy.

I don't care about bases, I just want larger figures. Of characters that should be large.

Do you see how hard it is to sell even Leader Class figures? Imagine trying to get parents to buy toys twice the cost.
And we can all thank Captain Planet.

As you said; and characters that are deemed 'large' should be those that represent a bigger scale than the rest. Large doesn't relatively serve the purpose when it's just just another blown up proportion of a supposedly deluxe/scout figure.

Pretty hard I must imagine,yeah...because they are all REGULAR optimuses or megs or screamers (I'm looking at you Cybertron Starscream!) or whatnots. Pretty much the same old thing served on the shelves. Nothing exciting.

The fact is that people buy what is worth buying and the way Leader Class figures are portraying themselves now is all too lame

Ah yes, I really find it strange that we have a leader class Bumblebee as big as Prime. Back then, I remember someone saying leaders always got larger toys because parents back then would be ok with buying the more popular/leader figure. They should make Fort Max leader again like he was in TF: Headmasters :)

    Economy.
Parents are less likely to buy their kids a big 100 dollar Fortress Maximus-esque toy than they are to buy them a small, affordable, Cyberverse toy. Plus, in my opinion, base modes were always an afterthought after Metroplex and Trypticon. Let's face it, even those were barely more than spreading their limbs out and unfolding a few "city/base" parts.

Although if we can get a genuine base figure I hope they make it Cyberverse scale so the toys will have somewhat of a chance of being in scale with it.
