Though Television has it's ups & downs, it has it's limits. Including what Certian shows your parents would allow you to watch.

As you may know, My Dad would not let me watch Cow & Chicken cause of the red guy. He would also not let me watch Courage the Cowardly Dog as well. And of course, Invader Zim & Adult Swim when it first came on.

Only reason why my Old Man would not let me watch Courage, cause of the Aftermath of "Klub Katz", which gave me a small phobia for quite a while. After that, he meant No Courage untill I was Older.

What Shows your Parents would not let you watch when you were growing up?

My parents let me watch just about anything and let me decide what I could handle as a kid. I saw my first R rated movie when I was five or six and I think it was The Terminator. However, I didn't watch horror movies until I was like eleven or twelve because I knew I was a scaredy cat as a kid and couldn't quite handle them yet. The only thing my parents didn't let me watch was wrestling because me and my brother started imitating some of it. Ironically, we stopped watching after The Rock started acting and then we started watching his movies.

i don't think there was any thing my parents told me i could not watch.

when i was 13, my parents gave me HBO in my bed room.

i don't think they ever had a problem with what i watched :lol

I was pretty lucky, the most I was ever denied when it came to TV was the Simpsons until I was 12 and South Park until I was 14, other than that it was really up to me what I watched.

Although my grandfather, bless his heart, accidentally rented me the first Robocop movie because that was what I asked for. In our defence, I was 8 and had been watching the Robocop cartoon and was ignorant of the movie's existence, and my grandfather was the opposite: knew the movie, never knew about the cartoon.

When I was 12, Bottom was declared off-limits. Thankfully my older brother taped them for me, and regularly let me watch cert 15/18 movies without our parents' knowledge. :D

As a kid I was not allowed to watch erotic movies and brutal action movies that ran late night. But I did anyway and it did not hurt. The erotic movies were boring anyway :lol

My parents put us to bed early and we didn't have TV in our rooms so, almost all late movies were off limits.

The only things I remember about my mom not letting watch something while I was growing up is the South Park movie and Beavis and Butt-head. Did not watch the former until I am at a age on which I could watch it. She is pretty lenient on other shows and movies that I watch from to time to time including the Robocop movies.

The only one my parents really actually forbade was The Simpsons. They actually had never seen an episode, they just heard it was bad from someone else.
