Here is a video of my son. He is 7 years old and autistic. He is incredible at putting together legos, complicated legos. He does it with ZERO help, no help at all, if we even try he gets mad!
He put together this plane which I'll try to post a picture of and I was impressed with that but apparently it turns into a second plane with the touch of a button and he put that all together by himself. orry if I am gloating over him but it's been a long road since the age of 2 when we realized something was wrong to the age of 3 when he was officially diagnosed with autism to age 4 where he was put in a special preschool and we were told that he would never be put in a normal classroom. What was more frustrating is that the problem wasn't academic, he scroed in two upper grades in math and one upper grade in Language arts. Age 6 and he is in a normal classroom, we did have some problems (social/behavior wise) but he is still in a normal classroom and has a full time aide with him and it works out well. As most of you know I have had a lot of health issues which puts me in the hospital a lot, away from home and away from Tyler and away from Tyler's routine which is hard for him (I couldn't take him trick or treating last year because I was in the hospital) I always apologize because I feel bad but he always hugs me and says "That's ok mommy I still love you, I alwys love you, you are my sunshine" (Yes he loves that song and we have to sing you are my sunshine every night as part of his nighttime routine).
So hopefully this works and that is why I LOVE MY SON!!
Feel free to post things showing off your kids!!
(OK apparently I can't get the video file to upload so I am posting pics of the final project) Yes he wears a plastic yellow construction hat when putting toegher his legos because it's serious business to him and he is "building", lol

I know how you feel. My nephew, who is pretty much my son, is the greatest thing in my life. His laugh, his smile, watching him sleep, steals my heart. XD

Aww! He is awesome! The best I could do with legos was towers and walls.

this was a birthday present from one of his school friends
I dont follow the whole ninjago thing

I can't put together anything with legos
its the same thing with us and angry birds
my son, Tyler, has beaten every level of every angry birds game plus extra stars and eggs things, he is obssessed with angry (as you can tell he has on his angry birds pajamas in the pics in the original post)
tyler is a freaking genius when it comes to angry birds and I can't get through level 3
but here come Tyler "I'll help you mommy, I'll do level 3 for you" and he does it with one bird, I suddenly feel stupid lol

Might want to have the thread title changed. Show your kids off or something like that.

To the OP, your son sounds like a trooper. To go through what he has, he should be commended. And he sounds smart. I know how hard it is for an autistic person to do normal stuff (my best friend's brother is autistic). But he seems to be adjusting well. And he's adorable

Love those photos of your son MTME. He sounds really smart for someone his age. And the fact that he has autism? Reminds me of myself. :lol  I have autism myself, as does my twin sister. We both are on the higher end, meaning he have higher than normal IQs. So I know what it is like. He sounds really cute too.
