Yep, good ol' down home PEI, and yep that comic did come from Outlands! It's been a looooong time since I last looked at that comic. All I remember is that the drawing is not all that good, the 3D effect doesn't work so well, and I absolutely loved it as a kid and spent hours looking it over again and again.
It took a 45 minute drive to get to Charlottetown, so I used to have Reg (the Outlands owner -- red beard guy) mail my comics out to me. I actually met up with him last time I was back. That was about a year and a half ago. I saw that there is actually a Starbucks now, kitty-corner to where Outlands was. How long has it been since you've been back there? Which area are you from, and what sees you now in Quebec, if I may ask?
I grew up in Murray Harbour. That fishing boat you see there is a one of a kind designed by my Dad, as well as designing the building method! We built the shop to build the boat in, and then we built the boat together over the period of three winters (well, for me only after school and on weekends). Now I live in the back of that cave..... with that lobster.

Ah, Reg.... and his familiar mantra "Stop reading, Zac!" :lol

Grew up in Charlottetown, attended Prince Street, Birchwood, then Colonel Gray. Left when I was 19 to do university in Halifax, and then moved to Montreal to be with my girlfriend (who is also from Charolottetown originally). Been here ever since, but we visit the Island every summer. Her family has a North Shore beach cottage, so it's a pretty nice getaway, and I get to visit with my parents and all the friends who stuck around.

When I lived on the Island, I rarely strayed far from Charlottetown, and didn't drive. I had some friends from Victoria and Morell, but for the most part, Ch'town was the center of that tiny universe, so everybody came to me. :)

The Comic Hunter edged out Outlands long, long ago... it's pretty weird now that Charlottetown's downtown core now has TWO comic shops (the other being Lightning Comics). I have no idea how they're surviving.

Man, the memories I have of hitting all the "big stores" downtown on my way home from school (Holman's, Eatons, Zellers) and memorizing all the new Transformers on the shelves... good times.

Damn, I feel like I should track down some old geographically specific, robot-inclusive picture to accompany this nostalgic post... :)

Sadly, I'm not sure if any exist, and if they did it would require a search through shoeboxes of old family snapshots that are located about 1300km away from me at the moment. :)

Name is Gabriel! And I'm turning 19 in 4 days!
I'm new to TFs and to customizing! Should be getting started on repainting my sideswipe soon so I'm excited for that!
I love figures in general but recently TFs have earned a special place in my heart! Haha.

Hey guys I'm new to customs and while I have yet to do one of significance ((I.E. A full figure.)) I do have plans to do plenty in the future. I will be using mostly brushes instead of airbrushing but I'm hoping it turns out really well. Any tips is highly appreciated because like I said I'm new to this.

Wrong thread but there are tons of tutorials here if I could say one thing it would be sand out inaccuracies before you paint. The little marks that you get when the mold is pressed can really show when painted.

Eh, it's cool, man. If nothing else, you were able to point him in the right place...before I did :)

TF Cagle, welcome to TFW2005 and Radicons! Show us your mug soon in this thread :)
