Say, Ops, are those Gundam kits KOs? I think they have the BenDi logo instead of the BanDai logo. I'll post pics of mine later, along with my "company" in the garage(not dirty company)

If you have an IKEA near you, they will become your best friend. I had a hard time picking out what units would work best to display my collection, simply because they have so many options. Cheap and very sturdy. My set up is 5 seperate units
    put together.

All of your workspaces look great! They all look SOOOooo much fun! I'm hoping I can shoot some photos of my area here soon! It's always neat looking at everyone's workspace (and picking out the projects and such!)

BTW, Ops_, it's been a pleasure chatting with you about all of this (+ more) :thumb

    Much fun indeed! :D

My workbench is the box my table came in that I put down on the kitchen floor to spray paint things. Seriously

I wish I had an area like that. All I've got is a piece of folded cardboard which I need to keep constant track of or it goes wondering and I lose stuff

I know the photo isn't the greatest in the world, but this is my current workstation (or as it's been called "My Customs' Table"). Right now I have 2 Alts I'm working on (that you can see on the table disassembled). Something that's a bit harder to see right now (because the BT Red Alert parts that aren't to be painted on blocking the view) is that I ALWAYS keep my paints arranged according to the spectrum. I ALWAYS try to line up my disassembled parts in a nice, organized way as well.

To take you around my table a bit, to my right is where I always keep my tools (while I'm a bit ambi, I'm dominantly right-handed); I also keep my wiping rags to the right of me too :)  The cleaning supplies are to the upper right; the paint markers are in the tote by the desk lamp (which is used to speed up drying some); and the spare paints are to the upper left. :)

[BTW, this art desk was FREE! I found it by the dumpster one day. :) ]

If you're referring to me, I get mine at Wal*mart. They come in packs. Wal*mart carries a very SMALL selection of acrylics, but they'll often put the packs on clearance as well :)

    Here's my workspace:

Got a few projects on the go. One is a re-shell of an Alt. Skids into my own truck. It's taken quite awhile mostly since it's my first re-shell, I want to do it right. So I'm taking my time. Most of the other bots on the table are awaiting minor painting and some customizing.

I'm to lazy to take pics of mine right now.

    And I have 2.

My "drawing table" has turned into the worktable. Everything fro mdrawing, which I rarely do anymore, to painting is done there. Right now it's the dying bowl filled with parts, clay, paint, brushes and clay, some steel tubing, and a few regualr alts all on a spray painting tarp. Also have a bucket of paints and brushes and a whole mess of parts and spray paints on the floor. The second place is atop my comic boxes where I lay everything out to dry and visualize projects whi;le others are on the bench.

Where do you do your customizing/kitbashing?

Hi everyone, since I have started working on my repaints and customs I have noticed that the kitchen table and a box to hold my paint will just not do. So I have been looking around for a sort of portable work station. So far I have only found two different ones Tamiya and Games workshop stations I was wondering where everyone else does their customizing at(pictures would be nice) and if any one uses either one of these guys. Thanks.

    funny you should ask.

right now, I have about 20 pages of newspaper taped to the patio which is 10x3...it's tiny and i made it into a spray booth, so i can spray my leader megs. I do most of my painting out there, usually on a little table. I have all my supplies I am currently using in a 15$ walmart 'hobby box' - 3 levels for brushes, paints, etc. I put in it the colors i am currently using. I have stock and more paint/brushes in my supply.
