The following is dedicated to Magic Square Toys’ habit of displaying their figures’ ab crunches with crotch thrusts~
“Oh? Did I drop that boomstick? Tee’hee ;3”
Still, I look forward to crotch thrusting MST Elita, Arcee, Chromia, Slipstream, Windblade, Airazor, Blackarachnia, Botanica, Nickel, Camien Dinobot Strafe, Nautica, Velocity, Anode, Lug, and so on...
Having finally completed my dinobots there was just one thing left to do.
awesome backdrop too
30th Anniversary Unicron showed up today. Which means time to rearrange my entire legends collection.
I've only recently gotten hooked on the Legends style figures. I have the DX9 War in Pocket Dinobots. I love the cartoon coloring style and the clever transformations for the size. I also have the NewAge Bumblebee (and Goldbug) as well as Iron Factory Jetfire (who without the boosters is close enough to Skyfire for me at the moment).
None of these were really gotten with an eye towards having any kind of consistency with scale just characters/figures I like. But I've been eyeing the Magic Square designs lately and really like them but I'm starting to pass the point of an idle handful of toys and wondered how they scale with the guys I already have. Particularly the Dinos since I have the whole group. Maybe this has been hit on already and I missed it but I've skimmed through the thread and saw some pics of the MST figures but if there were any with the Dinobots, I missed them.
Thanks in advance!
My tiny guys display. Leaving space for the currently shipping to me MFT Grimlock, Megatron, Reflector, Springer, Coneheads, and MS Toys Magnus.
First of all, welcome to the legends party!
Second of all, you're in luck because the consensus view -- it's certainly my view -- is that DX9, Iron Factory, New Age, and Magic Square figures generally work together splendidly. To wit:
Glad to be here! Thanks for that picture and that's excellent news!
Now I just heard Emgo's voice!
Can anybody help me out? I'm looking for images of the Mechfans toys dinobots in robot mode next to various Magic Square robots. I want to see how they scale together before I make a purchase. Right now I have Magic square.
I've searched on Google, but haven't had much luck.
Magic square bots are pretty small almost too small personally if you ask me. They wont scale the way you think with the Mft dinos.
The DX9 Dino's would probably work better.
Also, similar request:
Machine Robo Revenge Of Cronos Bike Robo (Cykill) with MFT Legends figures. I know the alt modes sizes would clash but Curious about Bot size
MFT Dinobots are deluxe in size. Do you have any deluxe bots? Place them next to your MS guys to get a feel for it.
Or just look at FredVIII's photo.
The MFT Dinobot would be a little bigger than Jetfire's height compared to MS Inferno.
Machine Robo guys are deluxe class as well. Not sure of exact heights.
They would be noticeably bigger than MFT Springer for example.
Here's some Machine Robo with MS and UT legends figures (not that that will help you much).
Most were deluxe, but Bike Robo was a lot smaller than the others and closer to modern Legends size. It's hard to figure size though when compared to say MFT Galvatron. I'm just trying to think if they might size up fairly decently on a display.
Does anyone have an image of MFT seekers with DX9 Dutch? Also, MFT Grimlock with DX9 Dinobots?
I’m curious about how they scale together but I’m guessing the proportions are gonna be off.
I see, he might be a good fit.
Perhaps ask in the Machine Robo thread as well?
Here you go. Striker in the background is supporting her with a finger because she keeps falling on her aft.
(I call this artwork ”The master and his student”)
And, I suppose this is as good a time as any to share a shot of matching decos that I finally got around to earlier in the week...
On the one hand, they’re both first editions.
On the other, that cover faded a touch after 23 years... xD
MFT Grimlock vs DX9 Grimlock:
Separate names with a comma.
