Yet it's ok for the transformers movies to have curse words, adult jokes, drug jokes, humping dogs, bumblebee peeing on someone, arcee getting her face blown off, a sexy robot girl with a giant tounge throwing sam around the room. That stuff is fine right? When we went to see transformers 2 at the movies there were more then one family that got up and left in anger.

My sister had her two kids and she was so mad she said she would never buy the dvd. When she found out about transformers 3 the first thing she asked was "It's not going to be full of curse words right?"

Hasbro can't say anything about bad things in headmasters when the movies are far far more adult!

 

I am excited to watch these.

 

One is a big budget movie that they don't have complete control over that is the subject of massive global attention and is being watched by a primarily adult audience.

The other is a children's cartoon.

 

Well next pay check this and Beastwars gets pre-orderd. So excited to finally see Headmasters.

 

I'd only get it if they updated the sound effects.

still hoping amazon puts these complete sets up for sale...anyone remember how long it was until amazon added the Matrix boxset?

Not even gonna puzzle out legal intricacies before I post this, but: is it too early to hope that Shout can get the TF Animated video rights too?

To repeat: both Shout and the potential market for these are not large enough to justify them producing their own dubs, and Hasbro will not LET them use any of the existing dubs.

 

Dub or not i'm still getting this. I wish they would give us the list of all the extras.

 

I'm hoping Zone is actually in this set and they didn't bother to mention it because it was only one episode. It just seems odd to omit that one little footnote when you've released every other aspect of the G1 cartoon besides the movie and Scramble City. Of course, in a perfect world I'd want them to include Scramble City as well.*

*You know, with audio this time. Or at the very least some goddamned subtitles. Honestly, that pissed me off more than you could imagine. What was Sony thinking?

 

I'm sort of surprised by the hate for the lack of a dub. I prefer subs personally especially after watching an episode of the dubbed versions.

I'll probably wait to pick up the box set at SDCC to get a lithograph or something.

 

I prefer subs for anything I take seriously, but with Headmasters 80% of the enjoyment comes from the lousy dub

 

Still waiting to see if the complete set makes it to Amazon before I cancel my Headmasters pre-order. No news to speak of on the Shout forums... :/

Confirmation on Shoutfactory forums that the complete set will be available on Amazon, although somebody mentioned that it may be through a third-party seller.

We shall see!

 

I hope so, because shipping from Shout! to Canada is pretty steep.
