My card was charged by Shout! a few weeks ago, so I was expecting the sets to ship soon. I never received any shipping notice in my e-mail (so far as I'm aware, anyway), but the mailman just stopped by with a box
I have done business with Shout factory and they never emailed me either when the shipped my item which was the Cops season 2.
I bought them directly from Shout Shout! Factory Store Though I didn't buy the set by itself, I bought it as a bundle with the G1 Shout! Factory Store now to wait for the Japanese G1 set...
I was just looking for an email from them. If you're in SC, maybe mine came today as well. I wanna see the extra stuff that was not part of the Rhino sets!!!
Was there any confirmation if the subs on the japanese collection are new? Also I still have all my rhino box sets for g1 but I may get rid of them if the quality of these are better. Being how many episodes rhino screwed up.
Shout's already released the G1 set once before, this is a straight rerelease in different packaging. Anyone who owns the previous release can say with certainty that these are better than the Rhino sets. As for subs question for the Japanese set, I'm not sure. You could probably ask on the DVD producer's twitter.
Amusingly, I just got an e-mail from Shout saying my order was shipped.... 14 hours after I got them in hand. "The order was shipped on 06/02/2011 using our Standard shipment method Since you chose a trackable shipment method, your tracking number(s) are: " Yeah, a lotta good that does me now I just watched Code of Hero, Call of the Primitives, and BOT (3 episodes of very different quality) on a hi-def TV, and I can safely say these things look great. I didn't see any of the fuzziness that you usually get from watching an SD DVD on HD. Everything was vibrant and sharp (regardless of the actual animation quality ) Shout! announced that they were delaying the Japanese set because they found better video masters, and as impressed as I am with these sets, now I'm really eager to see how those are gonna turn out.
I received my set but disc 1 was broken, so I had to send the set back. Can someone do a review of the set?
