by that question what i mean to ask is this

how might it go over if over the years transformers prime were to over a period of time lead into a pre beast wars era cybertron setting while still maintianing in its way a believable form of compressed adaptation of the comic/convention /television series shared continuity that served as the hybrid generation 1 that the beast wars television series was built into over time
basickly it being a case of transformers prime as a series subtly confirming it to be a kind of prequel series to the pre beast era cybertron time setting but leaving it to each fan to draw their own conclusions on the matter

In all honesty no, unless the Prime series suddenly becomes g1 or the arc shows up randomly in a mountain with the g1 cast.

It could have if it were just season 1 of beast wars, hell most of the continuities could filter through season 1 of beast wars. Except binaltech/alternity.

The 84 G1 show has already been established as the precursor to Beast wars.

Now, could they lead into a new beast era? Maybe.

it's true, they could however also just make a totally new beast era, but, the story was rather specialized in a way, and I am not sure how it would work into a prime era, since the big deal of Beast wars was taking smaller forms to conserve energy.. not sure with the Dark energon introduction how it would skew that story component.

was not beast wars @ the dawn or before the dawn of man and in prime man has already established himself as the dominate organism..would not these two have problem fitting in the timeline you suggested..its been awhile since ive seen it and beast machines..are you asking if beastwars could be the predeceser of prime...i hope not i liked the fact that it kinda did its own thing and tied in w/G1...

...edit..but then again did not they time travel....me head hurts....

He is asking if Prime could replace G1 as the lead into Beast wars.
but the Prime show would have to have its own Beast wars tailored to that series probably since #1 Cybertron is totally boned #2 there is no Arc on earth in prime, #3 as of yet we have not seen a ravage to travel through time #4 we have not heard of vector sigma in Prime yet, just to name a few

there is a whole slew of missing components of the story past season 1 and all the way through the end of beast machines that the whole story would need to be altered rather radically.

I don't see it happening... but I wouldn't be opposed to it if it was handled in a good way.

No, Beast Wars was awesome but Vehicles are more awesome; I think it should remain a untapped. Now if they introduce sub groups like in G1 they should be scramble city combiners, compatible with PCC's; a team of Maximals vs. G1 Predicons.

Now that would be pretty much the greatest. It'll never happen though. Hasbro likes their cars and airplanes too much.

    No.

Beast Wars was a continuation of G1 specifically.

Ravage showed up in the end of season 2

I would like to see a new twist on the future of Prime, like I don't know, the war actually ends for once, there is actually peace, no stupid comic autobot civil war, just for one series an actual happy end sometime in the future.

No thank you. Establishing two completely unrelated series into the same continuity leads to idiotic conjecture, constant arguments, and snarky comments about continuity errors.

My joygasm thoughts exactly. I would LOVE if a Beast Wars became the default destined future for pretty much all TF continuities. I want Prime to keep this future in mind and occasionally subtly hint that it is coming.

I also wouldn't mind a time travel episode showing this future.

Basically, Autobot era has TONS of love. Give me more Beast Wars love too please. I want in 20 years for them to make a Beast Wars live action movie (and they BETTER get the right Megatron voice actor for it, yes... ).

yeah i could totally see prime leading into a pre beast wars setting where the future era pre beast wars actually pays honest and respectable homage whil making ample refferance to the pre beast wars universe that idw has created over time

I don't think so. G1 was the precursor to Beast Wars and was in continuity with it. Heck, EVERYTHING was G1 before RID came around to fuck it all up.

Anyways, Prime could lead into a NEW Beast Wars series, however. Possibly for the fifteenth anniversary of Beast Wars?
