Should the next trilogy be prequels?

Think about. You could explain how the war started. Show the deal between Sentinal Prime and Magatron. Show Optimus rising to leadership. More importantly, you could bring back those deceased Transformers, flesh out thier characters a bit more. We could even see Bumblebees pre earth mode.

That type of movie would probably have to be mostly CGI which would make it very expensive. Would be cool though.

Great, but there would be so many comparisons to Star Wars.

What about the same style of CGI as TF: Prime? That wouldn't be expensive and would appeal to kids more.

I'd rather it be the same type of CGI as the three movies....the expensive kind. Anything less and I think it wouldn't work, it wouldn't appeal to the masses as much imo. I know plenty women that actually have loved the Transformers movies, and I honestly couldn't see them interested in something animated like Prime.

    Prequel? I don't see how.
Seeing as MOST of the stuff takes place on Cybertron during the WAR and Fight for the Allspark. An all CGI movie? Sure, I'm up for it. But I dont think ANYONE is willing enough to invest in that ...

I say, start fresh. Reboot it. Keep the designs for the Autobots and Decepticons. It's a movie, you can get EVERYONE back.

Ummm, ok then, how about a television series? I would love to see some kind of prequel. There is so much potential.

a prequel could entail the seekers arrivals and searchings and maybe others hiding and making stealth missions on earth , wouldn't mind seeing how a 1930s planet deals with the seekers. If not then get sequels going, new crew including Optimus, mirage and sideswipe , bring back Ironhide and Jazz and bring in the triple changers or the stunticons and make them intelligent combined and causing various havoc.

I'd rather let the Bayformers franchise die, They should just leave it alone.

Although i'd like IDW to make a finale comic to tie up the loose ends.

Other problem with doing prequels is the continuity of these films will get even more fucked up. No more of this conspiracy or government cover up crap.

I love what we got. It's mindless action. Although Bay ( and a future director ) should cut down on the minutes he spends on the army.

But, seeing as Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Starscream and almost every other "memorable" Decepticon is now dead ... there's not much room for another "famous" bad-guy to show his face. Galvatron? Can't, Megatron is dead. Starscream ( according to Beast Wars, a series which I hold HIGH ) could have survived, his spark should be "immortal".

Could throw in Galvatron IDW-style, make him his own character. There's Straxus, Overlord, Jhiaxus, Quintessons (egh), etc. I'd love a 95%-CG movie series. People spent over a billion on that blue-cat Avatar crap, and let's be completely honest, that was a cartoon.

The next trilogy should have absolutely nothing to do with the present one.

No just continue the series, or stop with it. Don't do prequels.

No. Prequels would kill the movie franchise at the first movie. Now a different take (like Transformers Armada) would be a good starting point. You still get to keep Optimus, Megatron, Starscream and Bumblebee (that's who Hot shot is face it).

Then you get the minicons to interact with the humans and get them involved. Just don't include all the crappy kids.
