    Two words: Hell No!!!
It was almost a bad enough idea of them killing him in the first place.

maybe "killed" but don't know having that happen in 2 movies, is just lame lol if they do that a second time it would just seem lame and people would stop seeing them after that.

i think it is best to have him maybe "die" but this time make it obvious that he is alive, like the starscream thing, with him flying off after a major defeat, in secret. leaving his con's behind.

    No.

I understand why they did it the first time, to keep the story self-contained just in case the movie was a flop, but there's no need to worry about that this time around.

I kind of get the feeling once the Fallen is re-imprisoned/destroyed and Devastator is taken down, Megatron will call for a retreat/flee, leaving the door open for him to concoct a new plan for movie 3 (and probably get an Earth mode too).

No. It isn't really TF without Megs, and if they kill him again we may have to suffer through Galvatron's... issues.

I dunno how to vote on this one. No, they shouldn't do it, but this Megatron seems like he wouldn't ever retreat, he would just keep on going until he wins, or he dies.

No. He shouldn't have died in the first movie to begin with. But apparently they needed a sacrificial lamb for the "happy ending."

I'm thinking he'll unleash the Fallen to wreak havoc and Megatron leaves Earth to come back when the Autobots and human forces are severely weakened, in Empire Strikes Back/LOTR Two Towers style ending.

Exactly. TF1 was the beginning, but ROTF really has to make it feel this war will continue for years on Earth.

Thay can kill him in the second one and this time make sure there's no way he can come back. Don't go dumping them in the ocean where they can return from. Dismantle them and then melt down the metals and burn the microchips and stuff. Typical Hollywood thing to never dispose of the enemy properly at the end so it always leaves things open for their return.

If he were to die in ROTF, I'd want it to at least be an epic death.

No Allspark heartburn this time around. I want to see him explode into a hail of knives!

Oh hell no. I really don't want Megatron to become Kenny where he gets killed off at the end of every movie only to come back the next movie. That works great for Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street but not Transformers.

Felt like they killed off to many Decepticons last time for a sappy Hollywood ending so leave Megatron and some Decepticons so we have something to build up to the third film.

*Spoilers* ... *Doesn't know how to do spoiler tags* ...

I haven't read Defiance #2, but the impression I got from issue #1 was that Megatron's "obsession" with obtaining the Allspark and taking over the universe was the result of some kind of corruption carried by that artifact they found. Maybe in ROTF they'll find out that Megs isn't evil, just driven to madness by scary mind control (*spooky music*) and they'll "cure" him, with the "surprise twist" (known only to the audience via a credits/post credits scene) being that he's secretly still evil. (Bum bum BUUUUUMMM!)

    *shrugs*

    Err, what?

Are you saying that Megs is basically evil, good then evil again? Double agent style? Or have I had too much candy?

I agree that killing Megatron off again, only to have him return (which would happen), would only make things repetitive and unbelieveable. I also agree that his TF1 death was necessary for a solid closure of the plot. I don't mind if he becomes Galvy or not in the third movie, but I have a feeling the Fallen will die, so the other villain (Megs) can escape while still having a believeable plot ending.

I think Megs should be defeated but NOT killed. That was done once and would be repetitive to do so again. Instead, perhaps Megatron could be imprisoned somehow so he could then escape in TF3.
