Hi guys, I was wondering what you guys think about Megatron having an Earth mode in the next movie. If yes, what mode should he take on?

Don't see why?? I, mean he is already cool with the current design, Though I wish the left arm gets a little bit buff-up for TFs 3!!

might be good for a change, and then we might get a better toy with an alt mode that "looks" like something real.

I personally vote no.. I just like the idea of him retaining a cybertronian form.. It shows his disregard for human life/technology I can just hear him brushing off the idea as i type... Megs is too bad ass to hide

As long as nobody else starts having weird Cybertronian modes, I don't care. I think it fits his character and makes him somewhat special from the others. But if they decide he should get an Earth mode, I'm not complaining.

Well, I feel like he should have had one for the second movie. At this point, I'd just be glad for some consistency.

As a side note, I know that it's not relevant, but since Hasbro had two chances and years to improve and develop the concept, we ended up with a fantastic, Masterpiece-esque Leader-Class Prime toy. But because Megatron changed his appearance we ended up having two very basic toys of him. I'd like to see what they come up with for the third film, if he gets to keep this design..

Eh, I already prefer Megs' new design over what he had in the first film, so frankly I don't care whether he got an Earth-based design or not.

B'sides, it's well established, as has been pointed out, that Megs is pretty contemptuous towards little pink squishy creatures running roughshod over the planet with technology they basically stole from him. That, plus the fact that the little maggots kept him on ice for about two centuries, would IMO be impetus enough to not hold back in giving Earthlings something to fear.

He should get an earth-mode. Maybe an artillery piece. That would be a good middle ground between his G1 roots and Bay's vision.

He should only have one under two conditions:

    A) It serves the story, like he is trying to be incognito on Earth in order to attack the Autobots stealthily.

    B) It's completely badass.

Seems to me they were hinting at this possibility with the end of ROTF. Megatron is beaten and in retreat, and with NEST and a resurrected Prime on the hunt for Deceps, it seems to me Megs would have to resort to an alt mode.

I'd like to see him as an A-10 Thunderbolt II (the "bring the rain" assault planes in TF1) or a BTR-60 APC (Armored Personnel Carrier).

I'd prefer the plane, as Deceps usually are aircraft. Something similar to TF:A Megatron's Earth mode would be badass.

In my opinion, Megatron looks already bad-ass with that Cybertronian Tank/Jet alternate mode.

However if he was to have an Earth Mode, they should at least consider the B-1 Lancer:

    The B-2 Spirit:

Or turn him into a triple changer like Blitzwing.

A M1 Abrams tank and an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet.

Yes. To me, the coolest things about Transformers was that they transformed into everyday, realistic Earth vehicles. Thus, I have never been interested in any toy of anything Cybertronian.

(Also why I skipped over much of the Unicron Trilogy. Much too fanciful for my tastes).

As for the altmode, however, I have no idea. Possibly a Triple-Changer?
