    Lite that is.

Gamespot is offering Black DS Lites for $70 with trade in of a older DS. Sounds like a ripoff...but i sorta really want one of those new DS Lites...

    Is it worth it?

i thought it was, they would give you $70 for you white DS lite. not $70 to buy the black one. THat is a rip off either way really. Especially since I have only had my white DS for maybe a month.

I just bought a black DS lite. Smuges Smuges Smuges. It might be better to get a white one and put some black decals over it.

Basically they buy your old DS for $60. You may be able to get more on ebay or Craig's list. Maybe not.

i was gonna buy a black ds lite when they came out in the uk a while ago but its gets finger prints all over it which looks ugly and to be honest the differences between that and the old ds arn't that noticeable, unlike wen we all changed from the GBA to the GBA SP cos of the backlight

It's a good enough deal. The differences between the DS brick and the DS lite are much more numerous than they at first appear.

good deal or note - you need to get the lite one way or the other. I bought mine without any accessories on ebay for $90. Probably stolen, but now I can at least play the NSMB minigames with my wife...

I still have the brick DS and been waiting to trade for the Lite.
Probably the white one since my PSP is black.

The black looks AWESOME, but smudges like MAD. Wow. It would be wise to invest in some sort of film to protect it or a nice low profile silicon case. I just got mine yesterday, but I want to get some screen protectors on to help protect the screens. It is a LOT more comfortable then the old DS which was a bit bottom heavy.

I like the original DS. I don't want anything smaller.

    Pocket GB = bad.
    Xbox S controller = bad.
    Smaller DS = bad.

    Smaller DS=GOOD!

Better balanced, better ergonomics (easier to hold), better battery life and MUCH better screens. I didn't think they'd make THAT big of a difference but they do. They look AWESOME.

Also, for small to medium hands for the most part I liked the Xbox S controllers. But, I used my MadCatz controller more often. Worked better, and had better Start and Back button placement.

The only downside to the lite is the my hand cramps up a little more than with the old DS. The screens are wonderful though.

Alright. I just called up my local Gamestop and they have a ton of black DSL's in stock.

Plus I get $60 trade in for my old DS.

The EBs near here are giving 80 bucks for the white Lite if you are trading it for a black.

I did the trade....and boy was it a deal.

I traded the old ds + 5 games that i havnt touched forever. I cant figure out exactly how the discounts worked. I got 10% added to trade ins for being member of their discount/trade in club. Plus apparantly another 10% on top of that (I dont know what this was for). Then $10 extra for trading in 3 game.

    Total Trade-in credit: $124
    New DS Lite: $129
    Total due: $5

add $20 for the warranty, usually dont do this but since it was so cheap, what the heck.

    im very happy with that.
