First a botcon 2012 shattered glass prime and now a g2 gobot...why not grade something that is harder to find instead of wasting money on common stuff.

 

Energon Omega and Armada Unicron are hardly rare. Both were mass released toys worldwide. Unicron isn't as popular now with the new movie accurate color release being the sought after one. Omega I feel, is only popular now because he's being used as a Classics stand-in, but will be relegated to the curb once a proper Classics revision is out, much like Energon Downshift. A really rare figure would be something like Botcon 2006 Megatron, that would certainly benefit from an AFA grade.

I'll have to also agree with this. Most Generation 2 Blister carded toys I bought. Had warped cards. doing a AFA Grade won't be that high due to this.

I also don't think G-2 Gobots Optimus Prime is that rare. as he was over produced in high numbers around the world. the mold itself got a whole bunch or recolors. the mold got so many different names applied to it.

 

Why send a bunch of common stuff to grade then?

 

I could get the new Steel Core graded! They only made 800 in the first run!

 

The question is: why do you want something graded so badly? You don't really seem to care what it is, as long as you have a graded piece.

If I were you, I would pick out my favorite figure, save up money for a misb sample and get that graded.
