    Hello
I need the vast knowledge of everyone here to decide if I should sent my Generation 2 Go Bots version of Optimus Prime. The carded item looks in good condition. I think it might grade out as AFA 75. Is it worth it to send this item out to be graded?

I'd say no. Just buy one of the cases that AFA sells, that'll probably be cheaper and it'll keep it in a preserved condition.

    good idea!

you know thats a pretty good item and that way when I get a display case it would be easier to display it since its on card. Does AFA sell cases that small for this figure?

I don't know much about the item (I am assuming it's rare) but I would (not a g2 fan so getting it ready for a collector is what I am thinking).

AFA has it's hardcore people who collect afa and never open it and the people who buy afa to open because they know what they are getting. The latter group gets smaller and smaller. So take advantage of the high market while you can I say.

On another note, I noticed another grading group in the UK. UKG:

Transformers G1 vintage SCORPONOK 1987 100% COMPLETE sealed and graded UKG 70 | eBay

In the future, when I am rich, I am sure I'll be buying these when I can for g1.

Don't grade it. The card is warped and won't score well

LOL, that card isnt warped nowhere near bad and there is no visable damage to it. It would grade around an 80-85 if you sent it in. Id say do it.

But OP still hasn't explained why he or she wants it graded. To me, that would be the most important issue.

OP, are you doing in hopes that it will increase the market value? Are you doing it because you personally enjoy it more if it is graded? If the first, you should look at the going value for graded vs. ungraded to see if the grading sufficiently increases value to make it worth it.

I dont even know if there are any graded G2 Optimus Primes the Go Bots version. I think it might display better if it were graded. I dont have any plans on selling any of my Transformers. I'm planning on passing all 208 of them to my kids on day when they are old enough. (Dont have any kids yet!)

If personal enjoyment is your reason, than do what ever makes sense to you. Our opinions don't matter, unless you're asking for estimations for what it might grade out as because your enjoyment will be diminished if it doesn't get a certain grade.

Its still a good piece to have loose and complete that guy sells very well, too bad most of those small cardbacks are common to warp, still it looks good just not AFA good.

If I'm reading the population report correctly, AFA has only done 3 of these, all 85. If Malach says it would pull an 80-85 I would trust it

I am not saying I would ever have my figures graded but if I did I would most likely get a popular or kinda rare figure like Energon Omega Supreme or Armada Unicron since those are pretty awesome figures. But since its you I would just think about whether you want to or not.Later.
