Should I put my Alt. Meister to rest? He is missing both his arms, a shoulder and leg door panal, and his chest plate thing. I can't get him into car mode.
I was planning to put him in a box and burry him in my front yard, but I think he deserves to see 20th anniversary Optimus Prime before I put him to rest.
When I first got him I didn't read the instructions.I ended up breaking his arm and a few other body parts.
Ah that sucks, sorry to hear that. Perhaps in a shoebox buried in the backyard is a fitting place for a fallen warrior
When I first transformed my Meister Alt, all his parts kept popping off. I went on a rant about the little blurb on the instructions about how some parts are made to detach because kids don't know what they are doing with excessive force blah blah blah, but mine was ridiculous.
Yeah.. You torture him, now you want to kill him? How about trying to glue his parts back on and make him whole. Robots can be fixed, you don't have to mercy kill. Even if you can't fix him, put him in a retirment home.
I've got a few retirement homes around here, I call them ziploc bags and cardboard boxes. All those poor little guys that can't be fixed, or I just don't have the parts to fix them. My rule is if it still has a face, you have to keep it.
the right arm on mine comes off almost everytime I touch him, nearly without fail. But it's re-attachable and he has no other problems. At least it's not as bad as the doors on the Mustangs or the entire arm assembly on the Acuras. For some reason, Shockwave's arm is better than Jazz's
Jazz was ALT #4 for me, after Skids (AKA Captain Kick-ass). The second he was in 'bot mode, his right arm shouted "Freedom!" and popped right off. He spends most of his time on the alt shelf, chastising to the other ALTs about how obscured they were in G1. He's quit the trooper at stayin' alive (God I love that song). My advice, make his last days as comfortable as they can be.
I love that line about 'some parts made to detach if excessive force applied.' In Alt. Meister's case, 'excessive force' sometimes means a good hard stare. -Tony!
I have the same problem with Alt Shockblast (largely the same mold, of course) - arms keep popping out whenever I try to transform him. As for your Jazz, keep him in a statis lock capsule (a box in a cupboard!) until such a time as you have the means to repair him. You have to stare at yours? I just have to think of Alt Shockblast, wherever I am in the world, and I've applied the necessary excessive force!
