Yes. Get out, we don't want you and your weak link threatening to break our chain.

But seriously, what does it matter? Is it weighing down on you personally or something? I fail to see how browsing a toy aisle, or checking a website for news and updates is that big of a deal.

Ironhide2005, I'm a 23 year-old woman who is not ashamed to walk into a store and buy an armload of Transformers toys. There's nothing wrong about adults buying/collecting TFs. Heck, even my 29 year-old brother collects them (mostly Classics and G1 reissues).

Just think... is it the whole buying toys and feeling so goofy/immature about it the only reason why you want to leave the fandom? Or is it something else, such as you losing interest in the franchise as a whole? Or is it a combination of several other factors?

Once you determine what it is that is making you feel that you should leave the fandom, then consider your options. Should you just hang on to your TFs in the event that you might get back into the fandom, or should you leave the fandom for good?

Just think things over. Then make your decision.

In regards to toys, theres nothing wrong with buying them at an older age. It's not like sit on the floor and act out little adventures with them or anything, like a little kid.

Well I haven't lost interest in the fandom that much at all(even if things right now are EXTREMELY slow).

I don't see much sense in giving up the fandom if you really haven't lost interest in it.

But like I said, just think it over. You can stay in the fandom and not collect the toys, or you can leave the fandom, be it permanently or for a little while. Your choice.

Then what's the problem? Is the issue really what other people think?

This is going to sound like an after-school special, but sometimes you gotta do what you wanna do. Especially when it comes to something as trivial (in the grand scheme of things) as being a "fan" of something. If you want to leave, then leave. But making a thread like this is kind of like leaving a Toys R Us and yelling "I'm gonna go! Somebody stop me!" before walking out the door.

Hi, I think that you should start attending parties, get extremely drunk and sexually harass female party attendees. That's a lot more mature than caring about them dumb children's toys.

You mean other folks are bothering you about your hobby? In that case I would go on a collecting spree :p  Seriously, it's your life and your choice and well...screw what others have to say about it. It's not like you are doing anything to harm yourself or others.
Heck I'm turning 30 and I can just laugh about the looks I get when the cashier asks me if it is a present for a nephew and I answer it's for myself.

Don't let others influence you, if you love Transformers and it does not interfere with your life in a negative way, then just be yourself. I am 33, love cartoons and collect toys. Some of my friends and co works think I am a little off, but I have a beautiful wife, whom I am a good husband to, and hold a good job, which I am told I do well. So who cares, have fun with your eccentricities, they make you more interesting.

Dude, don't worry about what others think. Our lives are full of doing stuff that we don't really want to do; work, certain social obligations, and acting in certain ways that society thinks you should act. Take the little bit of love and enjoyment that you find in tfs and savour it. We all can't do what we want, when we want to, but we all deserve a little space in our lives where we can be ourselves. Also, have a kid. They are great reasons to be a kid again.
