Yes you should. The anime style is a good change of pace as well as having a different power source in the minicons instead of just plain energon.

 

Give it a shot, if you're not hooked after a few episodes, you can always stop watching.

 

I'd recommend watching it. The beginning is fairly weak, but it starts picking up around the middle and the end of the series is really good. There are some problems with the animation in places, but at it's worst the animation doesn't get much worse than the average episode of G1. The kids are one of the worst human casts in TF history though, especially after Fred and Billy became regulars, so they can be a bit of a nuisance even in the better episodes.

I really liked Armada, especially up to the Unicron battles. Starscream is possibly one of the best version of the character ever.

 

If you want to see the most badass Starscream we've ever got then yet go for it.

Watch it. Expose yourself to all versions of Transformers. At the end, if you find you don't like it, or only like a few episodes of it, at least after watching it all you be able to stand on the other side of a thread topic like this with full knowledge behind you to help when someone else is unsure if they should offer their eyes and ears to the Armada series.

Get some more Transformers in you!  

 

Yes I think you should watch it but only the second half of it..starting with sideways on..I feel that the ending was kind of rushed though and should have shown more unicron in action as opposed to just standing there but the last episode was great and it had amazing animation to it.

 

And you can try and spot all the G1 character model design cameos.

 

It wasn't that great, but it brought me back into Transformers, so I have some fond memories of Armada.

 

I finished 19 episodes...it has taken me 2-3 months to do that, it's absolutely painful. I don't know if I can truly finish, I'm trying to force myself to, if only to ATTEMPT to understand more about Unicron, the Combiners in Energon, and some of the mythos in Cybertron (if there really is any).

 

You should probably followe some advice and start skipping to the good parts of Armada.

 

And when would that be? As I've yet to watch the whole series I don't know when the "good parts" will be coming up.

No, that's your opinion. After I finally got through the series, there really was nothing in it that I felt was worthwhile at all. I struggled through the series having been told so many times that after the segue into the Unicron Battles the show gets good. It didn't.

IN HIS OWN WORDS:

He is not wanting to try the series, he's about 36% of the way through the series and he is being pained by the series just as I was. It's just not worth it.

In regards to not posting if I didn't like it, that rather defeats the idea of asking for opinions.

 

No. The only episode I've seen worth watching that I've seen is Puppet.

 

I am currently watching it and enjoying it quite a bit more than when I was younger. Yeah, the kids are still annoying, but the bots are great and the stories aren't all that bad.

I'd say watch it again, I am enjoying it and I am sure you will too.  

 

Felt like the 10 or so episodes were pretty bad, but it really started to pick as the series continued.
