On the fence about getting anymore TFs anytime soon, and these are the only ones I'm interested in. Any opinions?

 

If you plan on getting blackout, you need to get scorponok to complete him imo. It makes the gimmick much much better.

 

Blackout's good, but IMO Ironhide is better...

And if you turn his head around, you have a stand-in Classics Trailbreaker.

 

Between those two definitely go with Ironhide. Blackout is probably my least favorite of the 4 voyager molds I have (Starscream, Ratchet, Ironhide, and Blackout).

Ironhide has a rather nice transformation, is a good sized figure, has some nice weaponry etc. Blackout is much too small, has transformation issues/a broken automorph, his back pack can be a problem sorta, etc.

So yeah, go for Ironhide.

 

Both are great, but Ironhide kicks all kinds of ass..

Because onesock reminded me of the mini-scorpy. 


MH-35 plus little Scorps is worth the money alone IMO.

Blackout. He has a spinning rotor, that keeps me amused for ages.
Oh yeah, he can transform too....

 

I couldn't decide so I just got both. There are about 10 or so Blackouts left on HTS and over 500 Ironhides. I might return the one I dont like or sell it if anyone wants it.

 

I like em both, but I'd say Ironhide is definitely the better of the two.

But you got both, so the point is probably moot.

Both are great toys, but Blackout's really just a glorified deluxe. To get more for your money I'd vote for Ironhide.

Ironhide is so much better, much more solid and stable. Blackout was one of the figures I looked forward to the most, but was dissapointing. Not all the parts lock together solidly, and his ratchet joints do not look as well as Ironhide's. Blackout is the worst voyager, while Ironhide is one the best.

 

I like both, but I give the nod to Blackout. He's got a great looking helicopter mode. He looks pretty sinister in bot mode, too. Ironhide's vehicle mode looks naff, unless you remove his giant killamajigs.

 

my votes Blackout ~ Ironhide's lack of pegging together in bot mode really hamstrings him.
