Bear in mind I have no intention of keeping it MISB. Should I got for it or wait till the other version comes out?
Just wait for the Entertainment Pack. You get the very same Prime, then a Megatron, figures of the kids and a DVD of some sort.
Yeah, I'd say wait for the entertainment pack or the Voyager. If anything, deluxe Megs and the kids are pretty cool.
I might get this for MISB, then get the entertainment pack to actually tinker with, and then the voyager for display. Simple.
I personally think that the packaging is worth the extra cost, so I'll vote buy him. He's a pretty cool figure, too!
Great display piece in package, but get the Ent. pack if you don't plan on keeping it MISB or MIB or if you want Megatron + the kids. The deluxe figure looks pretty lame. I own two of these FYI.
I agree 100%!! I'd even go as far as saying the packaging is the best i've ever seen from Hasbro. I've never been sold on a toy by the packaging before, i just usually look it over and store it away after opening. But i had to stop and take notice while opening this one! I'm planning to display the back of the box above my upcoming TF Prime collection,....... and my fridge has a new magnet!
Not keeping it MISB takes away any point of buying it. The whole point of the exclusive is the packaging, and that it's technically the first release of a Prime figure. If you're going to open the sucker up, then wait. That way you get a Megatron to smash on and a Miko to punt.
I personally don't keep stuff in package (with extremely rare exceptions) and therefore have no reason to get this figure. As others have said, the packaging is the main draw of this figure. I'd recommend passing on this if you wouldn't keep it in the package, as you said in the first post.
personally i'd just wait once the other versions come out, *yes there will be more then ONE* lol it will go down in price, and value, it's only valuable until then. so i'd just wait personally
I got mine at Comic Con and it's the only figure I'm bothering to keep sealed. It's a decent looking figure from what I've seen of pics around here, so I can just pick up the entertainment pack later so I have an opened one to pose, plus I'll also get the Megs that comes with it. The packaging is nice and makes a neat little display piece by itself.
it is only worth it if you want the packaging. it is a fun figure, don't get me wrong, but unless you want the packaging as well, which is damn awesome, you'll best just stick to waiting for the retail release
