I still have my Predaking from when I was a kid. Hes in ok condition, the only diecast content is on the Divebomb figure.

    Reasons for not getting reissue:
Predaking is a cool toy, but I have him. This piece also has sentimentality. Also a reissue will be over $200.00. I would probably leaveit in the box for safe keeping.

    Reasons for getting reissue:
    All diecast version. New.

Thats a tough one if you have it already. Mine is still sealed so I wish I bought a second one, I always wanted a Predaking as a child, and now I have one. But I can't bring myself to open up his minty fresh box.

I am sure one day I will cave.

I would say if you could get him cheaper then get him, but I don't really know what they go for these days.

I'd pass. You already have one, and the die-cast is cool but not worth a several hundred dollar investment. I'd save the money for something else out there.

Got one last summer and regretted it instantly. Vastly overrated toy. With all the die-cast, he wouldn't stand perfectly straight and the floppy wings on Pred's back were driving me nuts. Glad I got rid of it. I sold it to get Road Caesar instead, still my favorite G1 combiner.

Agree that Predaking is somewhat overrated....does diecast have some positive aspects on this toy?

The Die Cast does puts some extra strain on the arm joints.

If you're in doubt about getting a second one, it's probably not worth the hassle.

I would troll ebay for original incomplete diecast bots.
You can get them for about $20 with no accessories and in good shape.
    Keep the accessories you have.
Sell you plastic guys to recover some of the cost.
Much better investment that the re-issue.

    Interesting.

Since I never opened mine I never realized that the diecast would cause balancing issues for him

That is definitely good to know. So I guess I should be seeking out a loose plastice Predaking :)

The die-cast has never had any problems with the balance on mine. Not the reissue or the og.

Try posing Predaking with just one arm up. He won't stand perfectly straight because the arms are just too heavy. Landcross has that problem too, but it's mostly because of the weak hip joints.

Since you have doubts, if I were in your position I would leave it. There have been a couple of costly transformers like that for me where I was hesitating, then I realised if I was hesitating then I didn't really want it that much.

I've never had any problems with my Predaking reissue. Also, getting the wings in a decent position takes about 2 seconds.

I guess you get into more battles with your Preds than I do. I have had him dsplayed with one arm slightly raised since I got him, and his wings are level straight and he stands as straight as a marine at attention.
