I have a friend who has a little boy that's into transformers and I'll give him one whenever I find a good deal but I feel bad because I don't usually have anything for his little girl. Been planning to give his girl an Arcee all along but who knew that it was going to be a TRU exclusive and that it would be so limited.

Just managed to find one today and wondering if I should I give it to her. She'll like it but not a the same level as all the raging fanboys that can't find one. I know that I have every right to do whatever I want with Arcee but I'm wondering if this would be inconsiderate to the fandom if I just gave it away especially since all the hand stress problems means it'll probably be junked within a month.

If its not something she is going to like I'd find her something she would want, Barbie, etc. But you never know, she might love it and become a huge TF fan. Doesn't really matter what the fandom wants, unless you want to send it to me. I'll gladly pay cost+shipping! :)

I believe she'll like it but that interest may not last for more then a month.

Would she only be interested (even if only briefly) in a female Transformer? If she'd enjoy a Transformer toy in general, you could get her a Bumblebee or Prime or something of that sort.

I guess I don't see why girls have to have pink toys, I would get her one of the other great animated figures.

kids always take priority. boy or girl, thats who the toy was made for. if she'd like it and play with it even for a month, she's going to get more joy out of it than any collector would just sitting it on their shelf.

I think you should keep the Arcee but buy a toy that the girl would think is even better and then give that to her. My little girl Loves Bumblebee, our car looks like him and she kisses it. Buy the girl an Animated BB.

I doubt that a child will benefit from the Arcee as much as you would. To her it is just another toy.

Give it to his daughter. It'd be a nice gift, and could start another Transformer collector.

She won't like it at the same level as the 'raging fanboys' - she'll like it on a better level. Because because she's a kid and will feel more personal about her toys. Its not going to be transformed a few times then stuck on a shelf among a hundred other Transformers then probably sold a year or two down the road, its going to be *her toy* to play and have adventures with. To build memories of hours of play, just like you did...which is what Arcee is made to do. And so what if she ends up in the toy bin after a month - so do all the rest of the kid's toys. They don't stay there, tho, and just because you don't see her playing with particular toys all the time doesn't mean she doesn't.

I can't believe you even consider collectors on a level with that.

Give it to the girl! :D
    Just like Moony said.
:lol  I got into collecting when the Unicron Trilogy was out. Sure, I was a lot more "girly" back then and didn't appreciate TFs as much as I do now, I would always kidnap my brother's toys and play with them when he wasn't looking >.> There might be a chance that she does the same thing :lol

If you know she'd like it, go for it. It's unfair her brother gets all the toys.

Give it to the daughter and don't worry about angering the fandom. Kids should always get first crack at toys...

Kids should always take precedence over members of the fandom, regardless of how rare or whatever the figure is. Besides, any of the internet fans who are going crazy over not being able to get the figure can always pick it up on eBay or something; a child might not have any other chance/option to get this toy.
