It's an option, but that would defeat the purpose of them being earphones. I think part of the charm of this line is that they're actually working versions. Don't do it.

No, it ruins the whole point of them being working earphones. If you do, you paid way too much for a pair of minicons

nope. no visible screws. the felt cover for the speakers are removable. no screws there too.

FYI, soundwave already comes with regular earphones.

He does come with earphones, but that's beside the point. Might as well gut Soundwave's electronics too for that matter.

Besides, they look hilarious connected together like that. Almost like Siamese twins :D .

my post was actually half kidding, but your comparison is inaccurate.

soundwaves functionality does not impede with his play value. i can choose to not use his mp3 feature w/o modifying him.

the earphone cords on the other hand DO impede with their playability. i can deal with frenzy and rumble being attached, but the cord spool is friggin annoying especially since the the cord on frenzy is shorter and i keep pulling up the spool with him.

Eh, I suppose so. It's your stuff anyways, but cutting their cord and negating them kinda gets rid of half the point and appeal/novelty of them.

I suppose you could remove the cords, but then you just have two similar bots with urinal puck altmodes. ;)

I'm still hoping that if Universe survives at least 2 years we'll see a Classics Soundwave and minions. Keeping the dream alive ya know.

Honestly, I really think cutting the cord would be a stupid move.

The novelty of them, and the reason for their price is because they are working headphones. Why take that away to be able to play with a couple..not so great transformers?

I won't cut them - part of their charm is the alternate modes actually work.

    I wouldn't dude, it'll just be like:

"Hey KA cool toys, what do they turn into?"

    "Headphones"

    "Oh, how much were they"

    "Like fifty bucks"

"WHAT! They should WORK for that money!"

    "They used to"

"What do you mean used to?"

    "I sliced the cables"

    "..."
