Ok, I got a great deal on a MISB Dreadwind and Darkwing.
I checked AFA's site and there is no Dreadwinds AFA'ed at this time.

Should I do it? Anybody know how much money something like tha costs?

No idea how much it would cost but I'd say if you're never going to open them then go for it.

What condition are they in? I'd say go for it anyway.

I have no experience with AFA grading, but I'd think you shouldn't bother unless you planned to resell it down the road, or felt it necessary to show off an outside authority's opinion of the item's quality.

While they are full of MISB G1 awesome. They would be graded fairly low. Probably not worth it.

Don't AFA them, Just mail em to me ;)
BTW, you won't get them back >_>

haha. But seriously, I don't think it's worth it to AFA them. But I hate AFA and wouldn't grade a 100% mint factory sealed Fort Max (I'd open it).

    Nice items!

I am generally against AFA so I'd say don't do it but also those boxes don't looks like they'd do well at all under their grading system so maybe it's not worth it from that perspective too.

Not a high-grade, but no higher yet. How about the shipping cost to AFA and back?

I am VERY curious where you got those and how much you paid. Consider me jealous.

It's a colossal waste of money, in my opinion.

If I were you, I'd open those babies up, pop the stickers on, and have fun with them.

    Good price bro, congrats.
I have to agree about the condition of the boxes not warranting a high enough grade to make it worth AFA grading though; I'd just get a couple of decent cases for them.

I hear you on the conditions, but there are NO AFA graded dreadwind's.

    Even Fort Max has 2.

This would be the only 1 sealed and graded. For 80 bucks I might do it.

to avoid all the ( OMG KEEPING STUFF IN BOX IS STOOPID!!111ONE POSTS )

IF you plan on keeping them, afa cases will protect them from usual wear and tear as well as dust and what not, again those boxes are a bit rough, but that will prevent them from getting any more wear, as they are fairly tough to come by they will go up in value in future years as less and less examples of misb transformers exist.

if that investment is worth 80$ to you , then go for it..otherwise i'd recomend getting yourself a nice case for them so you can display them if thats your desire,

and pick up some loose ones to play with for 5$ or so (better option then opening them ;-)
