Since the F-15 Eagle is getting old as a fighter jet, I thought that hasbro could redo all the seekers in a a classics style, but using the F-22 fighter jet as an alt mode. Would you guys buy those?

After all, Starscream would not choose an old jet as an alt mode, would he? :p

Absolutely. I thought Classics Starscream was a bland design when it came out, and it's beginning to show it's age. I'd welcome a new version done right. Even better if it's EJ Su's seeker design.

I like the mold, but an update would be cool.

Yeah, this was my thought too. Personally, I don't like the F22. I realize it's far more advanced, but I think the F15 just looks cooler. Now, I DO think the Seeker's bot mode could be better (as the Generations engineering has already advanced that much more than the Classics), but as he said, I am not wanting to buy the same mold 7+ times again.

We had an F-22 Starscream in Energon. They could reissue the mold as different seekers.

    This. Right here.

But with the consistent rate that Decepticon jets keep spilling out onto the shelves, I doubt Hasbro is all that eager to whip up another incarnation of the seekers.

How about they do Wheeljack, Trailbreaker, the Dinobots, the Insecticons, the rest of the cassettes and every combiner component first... then I'll be cool with new seekers :)

I'd like the new interpretation of the EJ Su seeker design as a toy (Thundercracker from ongoing). Or even just the old EJ Su seeker design.

The classics seeker mold is one of the worst to come out of that line. Jet mode looks nice from the top (horrible from the side, or front, or any other angle really). The robot mode has horribly chunky and immobile limbs, is far far too blocky, and you can't aim the arm cannons forward on the Starscream iteration of the mold (and it's repaints) without beginning to untransform it.

I'd buy an EJ Su Thundercracker in an instant. Provided Hasbro faithfully replicates the design, and doesn't make the belly in jet mode 3x fatter so as to accomodate two AA batteries and spinning guns and spring-loaded missile launchers...

They might not be the best action figures but seriously when I look at my seekers, there's no doubt in my mind that it is Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp. No doubt.

It's not an updated or alternate reality version of them. It's the G1 trio made real straight from the TV.

I know the mold has flaws but really I don't even notice them. You could say I'm a little obsessed with this mold actually. Heh.

Great idea, but the classics seeker mold is perfect already.

They look reasonably nice in a group no doubt, and they are very cartoon accurate, but my main gripe is that we're at the point now (and were at the point in 2006) where that doesn't have to be at the expense of playability. To be honest the thing that annoys me the most is the torso... it's just one solid immobile molded lump, and that annoys me for some reason (maybe because if you look at it from any angle apart from the front you notice it's mostly hollow)

F-15 or F-22 I'd be all for as long as they do them as a Voyager. But, I do want the other characters first before they revisit the Seekers/Coneheads again. After a good long stint of new molds then a refresh of these guys could make more sense.

Bear in mind I´m saying that Hasbro should redo the Seekers because in real life the F-15 is becoming an old jet. It´s just a matter of an alt mode.
