Should Crankcase be a Voyager?

After watching the film, Crankcase in his suburban is bigger than Sideswipe, Bumblebee and Dino. On top of that he is taller than Sideswipe and quite a size when seen next to Ironhide.

Crankcase as a deluxe seems to me to be limited, and if he were bigger with more complicated engineering he could fulfil what -in my opinion- he seems to be lacking.

For example, his back kibble. It makes him look like he has a square body when looked at from a distance. It makes the intimidating, muscular build look a lot less threatening. What I'm saying is if he were a voyager they could really improve him (As much as I like the deluxe) and I really hope to see the others in the line too.

I wouldn't object, but no character "needs" be be any specific size class when so many are offered in all.

He's actually really close in scale to Ratchet and Deluxe Ironhide.

I'd much rather get a deluxe Crowbar and Hatchet first.

Scale has been an issue for....oh, about 27 years now.

Well, I personally don't want him as a voyager just for scale, but overall accuracy too

I got a Deluxe Crankcase and have to agree with you. His alt mode is conspicuously small next to Deluxe Barricade. Even his Cyberverse Legion class toy is kinda rinky dinky small compared to Roadbuster. His bot mode is pretty neat though (I have the clipped fingers version, sadly) and he does look good next to Barricade and Hatchet.

Really hope they made a Deluxe Crowbar, and I'm definitely going to pick up Deluxe Soundwave and make a sort of "Soundwave's Brigade" lineup each with defined roles; Soundwave (intelligence/commanding officer), Barricade (interrogator), Crowbar (spook), Hatchet (bloodhound), and Crankcase (enforcer).... as well as the EZ/Legends versions of Frenzy (codebreaker), Ravage (scout), and hopefully they'll make Laserbeak (assassin). Crankcase needs to be big and scary if he's gonna enforce anything.

As is, he's a bit spindly, particularly his arms (not counting the door panels) and thighs/knees. I have been toying with the idea of getting two of Barricade's mechtech weapon (the rake claws) and locking them both out and having them be Crankcase's new "hands" (he's certainly got the monstrous look down pat). Really would go far in improving his intimidation factor (and his clipped fingers; yeah, he's compensating for something, heh).

Long story short, I wouldn't mind a Voyager Crankcase but really doubt we'll get him.

    Yes.
Though at this point, I would be happy if they made Hatchet and Crowbar

i say no because he wasnt in the movie for to long. same with bonecrusher and shockwave. i dont mind them all being smaller in scale than they actually were. if they made all of the cons to scale, they wouldnt have enough plastic for the bots. lol (imagine devestator and demoisher as scale accurate...! wow.)

    I say yes.
I think it would open them Up to be able to release Hatchet/ Crowbar as deluxes.

As much as I'd love to have 3 SUV's Transform into different robots, it most likely won't happen.
So a Voyager Crankcase as the SUV would work. With Deluxe Crowbar as the E7 Police unit and then Hatchet as... Something else. Maybe not a jet, but some other police type vehicle.

It would have been cool if we got a Voyager Crankcase, so that way the mold could then be retooled for both Crowbar and Hatchet, of which I seriously hope Hasbro would try to give us screen accurate figures of those two to go with Crankcase.

No, Galvatron could have worked fine as a deluxe. That toy, however, didn't.

Yeah very true but the original design was a tripple changing Ultra class. Strip the tripple changing and downsize to deluxe what can one expect to happen.

Back on the OP topic i think Crankcase has a great deluxe figure and does not need a voyager but i think they could make and totally awesome voyager of him.

He definitely should have been a Voyager. I think they should have made him instead of the new Optimus (we already have two Voyager Optimus molds; they could have just remolded the Battle Blades version).

I have his deluxe. It's okay, but a voyager would have been much better.

Yeah, Crankcase _should_ have been a Voyager but then you have to consider what would sales have been of a 'Con Voyager.

Not sure his character could support a Voyager class product.

Especially a con is only prominent in one scene ( a badass awesome scene). He would not have the selling power of Megatron or Shockwave.

no, but a real size deluxe would be great, instead of almost a scout truck
