The latest trailer. "Spider-pig" made me laugh out loud. And, apparently in the movie, the states that border Springfield's are Oregon, Ohio, Maine, and Kentucky. At least, according to Ned Flanders. Stupid Flanders. -Tony!
What no they nevered I knew it was in new england since in one episode they showed that moe's bar liscenes was only vailaid in RI
I heard about the announcement about the movie premiere in Springfield, Vermont earlier today. Apparently the theater there holds 100 people. They did say they were from Kentucky in the "Behind the Laughter" episode, though I've heard another airing said they were from Missouri. And I wouldn't believe the Rhode Island comment, since another episode said the Simpsons were banned from every state except North Dakota. Makes perfect sense, since West Springfield is three times the size of Texas. As for what state it's in, I'd heard "North Takoma" (NT appears on a driver's license in one episode). Speaking of which, this is the state flag of whatever state Springfield is in. And it's a northern state, no less.
Yeah, they definitely referred to them as a Kentucky family in that episode. I've seen it at least 3-4 times. Never hear the Missouri one though. My favorite throw-away Springfield location line was an episode where Marge is on the phone, giving out her address, "..Evergreen Terrace, Springfield, Ohi-ya Maude!", as Maude walks in the kitchen and waves.
