I think the character I was referring to when I said "was very true to G1 but one major difference that fans may not like" was in regard to Classics Powerglide, and the fact that he's *HUGE* and not a smaller figure like he was in G1. I don't recall ever saying anything about Animated Shockwave though. There will always be changes that fans do and do not like to any incarnation of a character, but that's because this line isn't aimed at you, it's aimed at kids, so while they can throw in nods and homages to past characters, their goal is still to always create new characters for new generations of fans to love and adore. I don't know much about that wikipedia entry, except that *ANYONE* can edit wikipedia. But I'm not gonna comment on anything. Everyone loves spoilers, but then you lose the entire "shock and awe" when everything finally materializes and makes sense
I see no reason why I should doubt this rumor. It would be a major plus for the series if it was true, otherwise no big deal, as this series rocks anyhow.
You know, I'm pretty sure the Wikipedia guy is lying, it's not the first time he writes crazy stuff about Shockwave, before he used to say HE'S MEGATRON AND SOUNDWAVE'S BEST FRIEND and after the Soundwave episode aired, he changed to the whole LUGNUT'S MENTOR thing. Dude can't make up his mind about what he "knows"! :V
I think Fort Max misquoted you - because I too remember someone saying that about Shockwave, but it wasn't you. In fact there was a topic in Animated about Shocky with some 'insider info'... http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=162270&page=5 Ahh, here it is. It was Lance Halberd and Shroobmaster. Don't know much about them or where they get their info, at any rate, I thought it was worth mentioning here. The 'Shockwave will have more then 5 fingers' I guess refers to the fact that he won't have a gun-arm... If that's the change and they won't give him two eyes or a mouth, I can live with that.
Am I the only one who really doesn't care about Shockwave's character? Sure the guy was semi-cool looking with the eye and gun-hand, but his character was... I can't hate him but I can't like him. However, I am sorta interested in the vague possibility that Shockwave could return for Animated since they basically take old characters, revamp or improve on them.
I liked the original toy for Shockwave, and he was a BA in the original Marvel Comic, but in the cartoon he was pretty useless. Amusing actually. And it's no surprise that a guy with only one eye couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
Uhh dude, I was joking when I said that. The only insider info that I get is from leakers that you guys also get to see.
KB, you are a tease. Seeing as you're quite in the know, and I am but a reformed casual lurker, could you answer two questions for me? Apologies if they have been asked before and please feel free to ignore them. I don't doubt your advanced knowledge but how do you come by it - have you seen future episodes or have you got access to designs, etc? On a scale of awesome (10 being Laser Jesus, 1 being some gravel) how much should we care about TFA Shockwave?
lol, i was mostly kidding when i said that-playing off the Chinformer jokes but im interested to see how he will be included in animated
So guys, after the whole SHOCKWAVE IS BLUE thing, I was looking at my Alternators Shockblast and noticed that hes more like BLUE than purple, so anyone thinks that they could be using Alt Shockwave blue on the Animated Shockwave? If they do use THAT blue, I'll have no objections considering I like that color alot.
I don't have access to anything you guys don't have access to in regards to episodes, etc. What I know I know, how I get it doesn't matter and I'll never reveal how/where/etc. That's my personal choice. Well, maybe years and years down the road if I'm still involved in the community. But I wouldn't count on it Honestly, I can't answer the second question. Sorry
Kickback, like Layla Miller in the Marvel U, "knows stuff". That's all you need to know. He's got all kinds of secret insider sources. Or so he's claimed in the past - not that his claim is inaccurate.
